cos i was having the same problem with a database the other day... in fact... yesterday

some of the dates were in US format and some were in UK format

but when you put a date in it translates it so it says 28-Jan-2005 (this would come from 1/28/05)

however the csv file had about 100+ records so i never really looked at all of them

and a ton of the dates came out wrong... cos it was trying to deal with 28/1/05 in US fomat

which would be the 28th Month, 1st Day, 2005....

thankfully excel saved the day

it's only confusing when you have 1/1/05 which is Jan 1st in both formats

or maybe 5/6/05 which is either 6th of May or 5th of June....

o_O

so....

do american people say "February 12th" because they put their dates in that format

or do they say that because their dates are in that format

and who decided that it should be the other way around

what's the reasoning behind it?!

I have a couple of beds available...

complete with mattresses and stuff

they havent really ever been used

- maybe like twice..

i inherited them about a year ago

they are single beds, with single mattresses - wooden, good condition

and...

one of them folds down and rolls (on its wheels) under the other one

so you can have it set up as 1 bed

or pull the other one out and push them together for use as a double

or as two seperate beds

pretty cool

i dont think i understand this thread...

i'd imagine because not enough people went to it. there's no point in speculating though' date=' what's done is done and drakes is gone. perhaps we should just concentrate on getting on with things and doing it ourselves seeing as we can't rely on drakes anymore. organise our own shows that no one else will put on and do things differently in new places. find a space and put on a gig or an art show or a video you've made or anything you want to do. show drakes that they did manage to change something and that it really was worth it.

i was as guilty as anyone for not going enough but i say with the death of drakes we should create a hundred new ones in it's place and make aberdeen a city of ideas and creativity instead of a city of drunks and tired soundalike bands![/quote']

recently i've been watching stuff - like films, cartoons etc. on DVD

and right after they've finished

i've turned it back onto the TV and something in the program i've watched afterwards has had something to do with whatever i was watching before...

it's very strange

i havent remembered a dream for ages
