Exactly, there could be a fair discussion over when you think a thread should be closed if it veers off topic has or run its course etc. But that really just came across as I want the last word so I'm closing it. Which I thought might have been a joke at first.
MOTD will be as bad as ever. Lawro wasn't even the worst on it. This is just the bbc making a token effort at responding to criticism of the show. They basically should sack the lot and start again though. Gary can stay, as long as the new pundits aren't more of his golf buddies.
Couldn't imagine going to a club with my mum, I have been in one with my dad a couple of times. However they weren't the kind of clubs I'd normally choose to go to.
They don't understand all the new trendy words - like they'll say 'poofs' instead of 'gays', 'birds' instead of 'women', 'darkies' instead of 'coloureds'.
I've not watched it but a friend of mine told me it was all just humans run from zombies, get safe, zombies find them, humans run away again. Over and over and over. He still liked it though.
Threads being closed when I have a cracking joke I was about to post in reply to one person. Oh well it's everyone else's loss, I'll take it with me to my grave. I'll probably still be giggling when I go.
Certainly going to be a very interesting season. So many top clubs in Europe having new managers is very unusual. It's not been talked about too much but I think Ancellotti will do a great job at Madrid. I certainly don't expect them to concede loads of points early on like they did last year. Hopefully Atletico can stay strong and close to the top two again, obviously Falcao is a big loss but they've made some good signings.
You're right that United aren't missing that much. But I think people feel that Ferguson's skill helped make the difference before and justifiably doubt whether Moyes will be able to do the same. At least not at first.
It looks like Xavi will really be used more sparingly this season anyway. I think Fabregas will get more time back there than before. Edit - Mascherano has been a huge success at Barcelona. Pretty much all fans and journalists agree. Although it has been as a centre back not a midfielder so he wont be replacing Xavi.
