Went to France on Friday, Drank lots of beer on Saturday at Oktoberfest thing and went to McDonalds for a Big Mac meal on Sunday. Big Mac was the highlight.

Watched the first episode, it was awful.

Once at Edinburgh Airport I almost bumped into Noel Gallagher when moving from security to departures. We then stood looking at the screens for a few moments side by side. Shortly afterwards on this day of lame I was at a bar passing the time watching the wimbledon final when suddenly all the celtic squad turned up. They didn't seem to know anything about the tennis and Charlie Mulgrew was talking abotu 50 shades of grey. I also saw Neil Lennon but he was sitting in a different part of the airport. Alone. Because no one likes him.

Long weekend!! Tomorrow's a holiday here and I'm going to spend it on a wee day trip over the border to Perpignan, which should be fun. No set plans for sat and sun but one of the days will probably be spent at some oktoberfest thing which is going on all weekend.

I laughed so much at Obanter that it worried me a bit.

It got quite a bit of coverage in the local press at the time. If i'm not wrong the building they wanted to use has been (or maybe is now) a strip club, which made their stance seem a little silly.

The only experience of post smiths Marr I have is being drunk at a festival and seeing Modest Mouse when he was playing with them. I don't really care for Modest Mouse but they were good that night.
