After the wigan loss and today's draw I think whichever side doesn't win the league could be accused of throwing it away. Both teams have been in positions where they really should have gone on to make next week's game meaningless. I'd still put my money on united winning it all. Either from getting a draw next week or by City bottling it once they're ahead again.

They've got the points tally of a team who are happy to be out of relegation danger with a few games to spare. They are nowhere near a team that could aim for european football.

He's been out injured for ages. I think he's only just come back to training.

Mascherano has been great at centre back when needed but I agree they are a bit short for cover at the back. However if they have everyone fit Mascherabo, Pedro (or Sanchez), Cuenca, Tello, Thiago, Keita, Affelay would all be on the bench and are more than capable squad players.

Oh I got confused as you mentioned Thiago in the next sentence. Anyway the approach has worked quite well over the last few years and if the players have the ability they can go from being unknown youth players to regular players in quite a short space of time. However they would have won if they could have brought on Djalmiinha to flick it over everybody's head.

Just listened to the album for the first time. So great. Album of the year contender.

I would maybe watch the odd episode if I was just flicking through tv channels and there wasn't much on. That wouldn't actually happen as I don't have a tv but nevermind. I can't really understand getting whole seasons of shows like that though and working through them. Unless it's hangover viewing, anything is acceptable then. I now judge my hangovers in terms of how many episodes of the oc I watch.

Thiago is hardly an unknown. Played loads for them. Again work meant I only got to see the last 35 mins. 2 pesky students decided they didn't care about watching the football. I pretty quickly got the feeling it would be one of those nights for barca and they wouldn't score. I'm sure they will at camp nou but another chelsea break away goal is very possible and I don't know if Barca could score 3. Also I'm not really sure what to make of a world where Gary Cahill keeps out messi and co. Going back in time, this popped up on facebook today. Djalminha had proper skills.
