It's set in the 60's btw, although right at the start, season one is probably 1960 or 61. Although it isn't until a few years into the decade that the country become the America of the 60's that people tend to think of. The cultural changes and significant events that happened in that time period play a role in the show as it progresses and is one of the things I love about it so much.

If you love Mad Men already there's no doubt you'll love it all the way through. Wonderful show. I can't wait for season 5 to air.

Bit of a risk in my opinion. Although they seem to be doing okay ant handling nutcases at the moment. I suppose he'll be decent and behave for the first 6 months at least.

I really haven't seen enough of him to judge him at all. I guess he was bought for a reason though.

He seems set on leaving though. It is a shame however he is at an age where he will need to be replaced sooner rather than later.

His recent performances for Brazil in defence have reportedly been very good and reliable. Fernando Duarte said the other week that he seems like a completely different player than who he sees playing for Chelsea at the moment. And he was great for Benfica, although I admit that you could argue that any mistakes are not punished as much in that league.

He's obviously been playing like a lunatic of late. He's a good player though. Hopefully avb showing faith in him will help him sort his chelsea form out.

Very true, the fact that these days English clubs in League 1 and maybe even 2 have better facilities than us surely makes it much more difficult to attract players. I imagine players see the poor training facilities not only as a negative in regards to training itself but also they may take it as a sign that the club has low ambition.

good post, the perpetual problem with football teams and fans is that any long term solution takes time, too mcuh time for most people and is usually abandoned before the results have a chance to show themselves.
