At least not as I remember. These were uefa's top defenders of Euro 2000 , Blanc, Desailly, Cannavaro, Maldini, Nesta, De Boer. All top quality. Don't think there are 6 defenders that good these days.

The international break wasn't too bad but I'm looking forward to a good weekend of domestic action. City v Newcastle and Chelsea - Liverpool in the premiership stand out. Madrid away to Valencia in La liga is the first big test they've had in a while. Madrid could make a big statement or Valencia could actually put themselves right up there challenging the big two. And the biggest match of all, the dons v well. Let's hope we don't get our arses kicked.

Finishing work on Thursday. I have shitty classes on Thursday but I also finish earlier than Mon-Wed and Friday is a really easy day so on Thursday I always feel like I can enjoy the night and relax and look forward to the weekend.

Getting caught in a torrential downpour when cycling home from a bar. Then the station next to my flat for leaving the bike being full and having to cycle five minutes away and run back. Then finding all my washing on my balcony completely soaked. Might have to be a commando day tomorrow now.

The fact that there are so many people posting that question or others similar is much more annoying than anyone getting it wrong. I should add that it needs to be with some of the same people from the night before so the first bottle can be worked through very slowly. Halfway through bottle two it becomes wonderful. I'm a big fan of gin but I think I'd have to still be drunk to take that as my first drink the day after.

Blatter has always been an awful awful man. Sadly I fear any replacement would be just as bad. Fifa is just terrible all the way through.
