  1. I would love to see Rangers up against Barca or Real with them really trying. It would be wonderful schadenfreude viewing.
  2. It's about time someone got of their arse and organised this thing I was meant to do months ago..... I'm in, but I'm not sure about the theme idea. I'm rubbish enough with mixes as it is, I don't need it made more difficult.
  3. Barca won 5-0 against one of the teams who were close to them last year and gave them a very tough game in this fixture last year. Madrid look even better this year and Barca have clearly strengthened. The gap between 2nd and 3rd could be bigger than ever. Loads of good teams in la liga, it's just the top too are far too good really.
  4. Yeah I should have been more specific than job really. Lazy posting.
  5. La Liga might be made to look a joke this year.
  6. How long will we have to wait before you star posting about how much you hate the new job? Ab-Music just wont be the same in the interim.
  7. Thanks to a long day of travelling yesterday I watched about the first half of season 1 of The Shield. And today I just had to keep going and finish it off. Damn it's good. As a pure cop show it's easily the best I've seen. It does a great job of mixing individual story lines which only last for one episode with ongoing arcs throughout the season. I can't wait to start season 2 now. There's almost too much awesome tv around.
  8. Mad day yesterday. Which I spent all of on trains and planes. Rubbish. I cant wait for the first Manchester derby this season. Although its bound to be disappointing.
  9. We've had this argument before so probably not worth repeating. Anyway the way I choose to remember it, I won the argument. Go Union!
  10. Apparently Drogba was unconscious for half an hour!
  11. I'm not sure at the moment what would be my top album of the year. There are a few battling for the honour but I don't have 1 clear favourite. Although in the last few weeks I've certainly been listening ot Nadia Oh - Colours more than any other 2011 release.
  12. Everything is wrong about Rugby League.
  13. I'd forgotten it was back this weekend. Brilliant.
  14. I've just started Parks & Rec. Watched the first 3 eps. I'm looking forward to the second season being better as I've heard though.
  15. I'm watching Chelsea - Norwich. I hope Mata gets a good run out later.
  16. Lunch time kick off is always awful. It's bad when good teams are playing. Put on Villa and Wolves it's bound to be terrible.
  17. Back page of the Daily Record today. Truly amazing.
  18. Crunchy Nut Cornflakes are bloody ace.
  19. So you can join in the chat and give your opinion on the fatty debate?
  20. I've had the ticket price conversation a few times over the past couple of weeks. It seems mad to me that clubs aren't willing to lower prices in order to attract higher attendances. It just has to be worth a try there are so many possible benefits. Of course the quality of football on offer is important too but Aberdeen have often played to a higher level when in front of a packed stadium with a great atmosphere so if lower prices attract people in it's not crazy to say that the team would react to them and play in a way which would keep the fans there. As always Aberdeen prices look absolutely mental when you compare against some prices from the rest of Europe. Personally I have in the past paid 18/ 19 euros to see some Barcelona league matches and I once paid 13 euros to see AC Milan in serie a. Sure the prices would have been higher if the teams weren't playing against small teams from their leagues but it shows an understanding of price reflecting demand and product on offer which is jsut completely absent at Aberdeen and other SPL clubs. I'm fairly sure you could see top teams in most European leagues for less than a typical SPL match. We've all heard alot about the Bundesliga and their packed stadiums and low ticket prices. Paying 23 for the dons vs caley looks criminal in comparison really.
  21. Bloody amazing. Right up there with my top gigs.
  22. The premiership has been a two horse race for the last few years though.
  23. This was the gig I mentioned as the first I went to with a really big group playing. I was really into them at the time, loved it.
  24. The first ever gig you ever attended. - Some gig in Portlethen I think, Black Atom, Hot Mangu and various bands with people from school. First big gig was Green Day in Newcastle that was pretty fantastic. The best ever gig you ever attended. - Radiohead in Glasgow 2008 (I think) amazing performance with an almost perfect setlist from my favourite band. The worst ever gig you ever attended. - It's hard to say really, I once went to see Finch at the Lemon tree because loads of friends were going. Not to my taste at all and I really didn't enjoy it.
  25. A pretty interesting draw overall I think. City's and Arsenal's groups look tasty.
