Unless there's a big change of plans I won't be living in Barcelona (or anywhere close) next year so I almost certainly won't be going. This time of year does make leaving seem stupid though. Primavera Sound two weeks ago, Piknic Elektronic last sunday (and every week until mid-september) and now Sonar this weekend. It doesn't get much better.

I don't know what I expected from the last two posts, but it certainly wasn't Puddle of Mud and Cave In. I saw Cave In supporting The Foo Fighters at the SECC once. 2002 I'd guess. This might be the first time I've heard of them since. Actually I think one of my friends who was at the gig might have went on about them for a bit after. Puddle of Mud just make me think of changing the channel every time that crap "she fucking hates" song came on tv. Which seemed to be every ten minutes at least. If 2002 'noid 'droid didn't like them I'd probably find them intolerable nowadays.

Yes! My closest supermarket usually sells good ones but the other day I cut into one and found it was almost all as solid as a rock. Extreme disappointment.

I didn't realise until the Costa situation that friendly matches didn't lock a player into playing for that country. I'm not comfortable with Costa playing for Spain but I can think of situations when I would be fine with a player using the same rules to play for a country other than that of their birth. It's better now than it was back in the 50s when players seemed to switch countries as often as clubs some times.

I'm pretty sure there's a night bus you could get during the hours the metro is closed. However anyone who leaves before the end is a loser. And probably smells bad too. Sonar festival this weekend Sadly I'm only going to make it to the by night parts this year and will miss out on loads of great stuff at the day events Still I'm very excited about seeing Royksopp & Robyn, Caribou, Todd Terje, Lykke Li, James Holden and most of all Chic!
