Being reminded of R Kelly's hip-hopera "Trapped in the Closet". It's been ages since I laughed my ass off at this.
Youtube probably hasn't topped it since.
It might just be because I like him and he plays for Chelsea but I'd put Essien in the doesn't mean to be dangerous he's just gets over excited and loses control. Whether or not he means to be his tackles are dangerous though and he needs cut them out.
When Essien first came to the Premiership he was only talked about as a dirty player but then people realised he is awesome in every other way and the reckless challenges started being ignored.
I can't believe they lost that match. This was supposed to be the weekend the gap closed. Amazing record he had, I'm almost kind of sad it's over. It had become an irrefutable fact of football, Jose doesn't lose at home in the league.
It feels inevitable that this will become another Man U come back but if West Ham hold on and win the press will be able to write loads of headlines about the title race being blown open and cats being thrown amongst pigeons.
Synedoche is this for me. I've still only seen it the once but I will watch it again eventually. I enjoyed it the first time round while not loving it as much as my favourite Kauffman films. I also think Burn After Reading is very good but I'm a big Coens fan boy so it's not really surprising. Withnail and I is one of those films that becomes funnier and funnier the more you watch it. (until it reaches the point of overkill). First time I saw it I found it just alright, now I love it.
The new fleet foxes, Tv on the Radio and Bill Callahan have all leaked recently. I'm looking forward to all of those. Also NPR will be streaming the new Panda Bear album on the 4th.
A quarter of the year done. What are everyone's top albums of the year so far? My top 10 1. Radiohead - The King of Limbs 2. Oh Land - Oh Land LP 3. PJ Harvey - Let England Shake 4. Lykke Li - Wounded Rhymes 5. Big K.R.I.T - Return of 4 Eva (hard to place this as it's based on very few listens but first impressions are great) 6. Sic Alps - Napa Asylum 7. Deerhoof - Deerhoof vs Evil 8. The Go! Team - Rolling Blackouts 9. Jessica Lee Mayfield 10. The Dodos - No Color
The last 5 days have been awesome. I've had friends visiting me and it's been a long weekend packed drinking and eating in my favourite places. I've had to squeeze in work the last couple of days to though so now I feel absolutely drained. Can't wait for this weekend when I can just relax and do very little.
Yesterday I watched the episode where Homer believes he's going to die after eating the poisonous blowfish. Bart and Lisa singing the shaft song in the karaoke at the restaurant is absolutely killer. Great stuff. The episode also displays the sort of heart and emotion lost as it went downhill and all the pretenders never managed to get in the first place.
