Yeah it's jsut a rip-off. For less than 8 euros here you can buy a ticket which lets you make 10 journeys pretty much all over the city. And 1 journey can include changing from metro to bus to tram and back to metro if need be.

Last time I was home I think it was about 3 from Portlethen to Aberdeen, only a 15-20 journey.
