You're probably right but also there must still be loads of recordings from these sessions that haven't been made public that would interest a lot of people. I think they might be better off just putting together as much as they can into a deluxe box set (like the Pet Sounds one) rather then try and put it together as an album and call it (another) finished version of Smile. And Mr Brussels is right about OP/H+V's. Super stuff. Love this performance

The single from the new Strokes album due out in a few months. I really like, much more than I expected too. Pretty excited for the new album now. Hopefully FIOE was just an aberration.

So even though Brian Wilson released what he saw as a finished version of Smile in 2004, there will, apparently, be a completed version compiled from the original surviving recordings put out this summer. According to Al Jardine: http://www.examiner.com/pop-culture-in-nat...um-plus-smile-1 I'm not sure exactly what to think about this, Brian Wilson, who composed all the music, has already released a version he saw as complete and the widely praised purple chick bootleg gives us a very good interpretation using original recordings. It's impossible to ever know exactly what it would have been like if it was finished in 1967 (and what it's impact would have been) so I don't really see the point in it. I can't say I'm not interested though, I just hope it turns out to be more than just a money grabbing exercise.

Also that Abramovich gif is ace. I've just made it my avatar on another forum (where they aren't stingy with av's ) I should go give some rep. Has Cech's reputation diminished so much that he isn't even considered in the top group of premiership keepers these days. He'd definitely be in my top 5. Gordon hsa some week areas, which were exposed some what against Stoke. He's made the best save of the season so far though and he can often make those super saves that really do win points for his team.

I'm sure it's been done loads of times by well known bands. I'm not good enough to provide any examples but I'm sure someone could.

A couple of disastrous seasons has left them needing to basically start from scratch. Dalglish should embrace the opportunity and completely overhaul the team and clear out the big guns who link back to the Benitez era. Reina is very good but with the likes of Given hanging around doing nothing he can be replaced. They should take what might be the last chance to get some decent cash for Gerrard too.

I'm interested in the Scotland game the same as any other. I want to see the players performing well and make progress and gain confidence for the qualifiers. But I can't get excited at all about this "competition". I don't care what happens in the matches Scotland aren't playing in. I reserve the right to make a bit deal about this and declare it "bigger than the world cup" if Scotland go on to win.

So anyone really excited by the Carling Nations Cup starting today? Thought not.
