  1. I don't get it either. I used to get it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now it is weird and scary
  2. People who moan about Chelea - Liverpool matches always being boring, ignoring pretty much all the games since Mourinho left.
  3. Junkies always have good credit ratings.
  4. Tomboy got moved up a week so it could be available for record store day. Panda Bear HYPE!
  5. Best thing about the Deseperacidos album is that you don't have to skip past the first 90 seconds to avoid hearing something awful, like with pretty much every Bright Eyes album. I think the new one is pretty mediocre, which does make it better than Cassadega but now where near "I'm wide awake" good.
  6. Exactly, the first pint is the taste. If you don't like it you change to another for the second.
  7. Ha, I hadn't noticed that. Man I loved that album. On a related note, after a couple of listens the new Bright Eyes isn't as bad as the last one.
  8. I've just got into Bill Callahan's album "Sometimes I wish I was an Eagle" and in some nice timing he's just announced a new album to come out in March. I'm looking forward to exploring his back catalogue too. The Pains of Being Pure at Heart are about to release their second album. I enjoyed the debut and judging on the song you can hear on the link below, the follow up could be a step up. Pitchfork: The Pains of Being Pure at Heart Talk New LP
  9. I can't put into words what I think of that picture. This probably sums it up ok o_O

  12. A challenge was set. And the captain rose to it. Great work.
  13. Should probably find a better place to keep your emergency biscuits.
  14. You should definitely check out the first two. (maybe you already have but you just don't own them) Both the self titled and De Stijl have been my favourite album of theirs at some point and De Stijl was the first of theirs I really loved all of. And Meg is sexy.
  15. Neil Young dies aged 67 R.I.P Sorry
  16. I would have loved to have seen Weezer back then, before Rivers had even begun to think writing any of the awful shit to come on Make Believe.
  17. At reading '03 I chose to see the Mars Volta instead of Beck. I think I even pretended after that I'd enjoyed their 30 minute set of 1 song and lots of poncing around. What a twat. I often consider going to festivals but decide against it as there just isn't quite enough acts I like playing to make it worthwhile. Then a few months later some of the bands I hadn't heard of are huge favourites of mine and I would have paid the money just to see them. It sucks.
  18. I really wish I'd got the cahnce to pay to see on of those top quality performances.
  19. I agree it's between United and Arsenal now. United haven't been a very good side for much of the season but they are playing very well now. The two chelsea - man u games will obviously make a big difference. It would be very strange if United remained unbeaten all season. This team is certainly no where near the best teams that Fergie has had in his reign at the club. Yet the fact they are unbeaten highlights the qualities that he has instilled in pretty much all of his teams regardless of talent.
  20. I went to Reading the year Jack broke his finger and they had to cancel their festival dates. I was really into Elephant and was very disappointed. Thankfully I got to see them in Glasgow on the GBMS tour. They were really great and played a great set of songs from all their albums.
  21. Hope you're right. My prediction was based on nothing other than pessimism.
