I'm very interested to see how Carlos Vela and Daniel Sturridge will perform now they'll presumably get more opportunities at their loan clubs. Wasn't Vela meant to make the move up from embarrassing league 1 defenders in the Carling cup to playing real football a few years ago now?

Crazy day eh? Wish I could have followed it as it was developing rather than be working. But rather than most deadline days which turn out to be damp squibs today has really provided some laughs and shocks. The Franny Jeffers birthday pic is simply wonderful and would normally be the funniest thing I would see in a day. But this is the best thing I've seen today. Also worth a chuckle is this Absolutely crazy money for Carroll but Murr is right it fucks Newcastle up somewhat, survival is by no means certain.

Question for you Delboy. What do you think of Crawley's cup run? As far as I know most non-league footie fans hate them and see obviously see them as the the Blue Square's Man City.Whereas most fans of bigger teams will see them as an underdog punching above their weight and knocking a few big boys down a peg or two. So can you put aside you league feelings and enjoy their cup success perhaps as some kind of non-league solidarity or would you like to see them embarrassed on any occasion possible?
