  1. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-2641199/Tony-Blairs-rank-hypocrisy-He-threw-open-Britain-millions-immigrations-sneers-Ukip.html Do they know they meaning of hypocrisy?
  2. He doesn't seem to be a very popular choice, at least with the Celtic fans I know. Malky Mackay appears to be a more popular option.
  3. Rumour mill columns are just the way papers like the scotsman and guardian get away with reproducing trash stories while pretending that they're actually above it all themselves. One of the worst things about footy journalism around these days. Reporting on signings and managerial appointments should be banned until they have been officially announced.
  4. That quite obviously is absolute shite.
  5. He's already agreed to a job at a club for next season, Marseille I think. Laudrup could be an alright appointment for them.
  6. Yeah, I don't know. It's one of the tougher choices I have to make. I've liked St Vincent for years and only recently got into future islands but on the other hand of their new albums I've listened to future islands a lot more.
  7. Was there not a Haken yakin? Something like that.
  8. Yeah the others are good. Definitely worth watching it all.
  9. I still enjoyed watching it but when I look back on all five seasons, season 2 has all the worst storylines.
  10. I'm disappointed for Southampton that it really does look like they'll just get torn apart this summer. I think it's about as good as appointment Spurs could have made though. I think the potential is there for a very good team to watch. Is Levy going to expect him to get top 4 next season, I don't see that happening.
  11. I watched a lot of season 1 and it was okay but didn't do much for me. Someone is going to come along now and tell me I have to watch some episodes from after DeVito joins the cast. I'm not going to listen.
  12. Starting to feel proper excited now. Going to pick up my wristband tomorrow. Listening to St Vincent right now, she'll likely be the first act I see on Thursday.
  13. Brilliant show. Season 2 is a bit of a disaster though.
  14. Thoughts on Pochettino as the new Spurs boss?
  15. I've not bothered with any 24 since season 6.
  16. Yes, that was the point of my post.
  17. The opposite. The tax on high earners in France is one of the highest around. That's one of the reasons PSG's wage bill is so high, to beat player's net wages at other bigh clubs PSG are paying a huge gross amount.
  18. Peggy was annoying me for a couple of episodes, mostly the one where she was freaking out about the flowers which were actually for her secretary. Thankfully that passed and she was great again by the end. Her and Don make a great duo and I'll always be happier with both of them when they are getting along with each other. I don't think it's been a great season for Joan really, getting properly recognised and given her new office was nice but after that her only purpose seemed to be anti-don and while her position is understandable it put on her on the same side as Avery and Cutler which is hard to support. Sally as always has been great. I've just started watching season one again and I'd forgotten just how young she was back then. I can't think of any other show where the child of a main character has developed into such a great character of their own. She's the anti-Kim Bauer.
  19. I don't really have any strong thoughts as to what will happen in the final episodes. It's not really a show I've ever spent much time predicting, I'll just enjoy watching it all unfold whatever happens. I was very happy to see Roger taking control and gaining power As always Pete had the moment which made me laugh the most, this time when he blurted out "I've got ten percent!" and Roger explained to Joan how much she would get for her five percent.
  20. There's a little interview with the actor who plays Cooper here http://blogs.amctv.com/mad-men/2014/05/qa-robert-morse-bertram-cooper-2 Don't read unless you have seen the latest episode.
  21. It was one of the best episodes of Mad Men ever so in my opinion saying the show has jumped the shark is completely idiotic. I don't think the last 30 seconds were that big of a deal. A bit of fun that stands out from the normal tone of the show but it's far from the first time that the show has included something which seemed out of character for the show. In fact I'd say out of character scenes have occurred enough for them to be considered in character.
  22. This break has made me want to start watching the show from the very beginning again.
  23. BARTS and Apolo are just across the street from each other and I don't think their programmes overlap. At least not by much. Weather wise, it will likely be warm enough for shorts during the day but probably not at night. There's a good chance there'll be some rain too so best be prepared..
