Big K.R.I.T's debut is probably my second fave hip-hop album this year, haven't heard (of) shad. MBDTF has still been dominating my listening the past few days. I've revisited Ye's back catalogue too (not 808's). There's an article on the guardian website comparing the reviews / hype to this to Be Here Now...seriously. Wait, I DID love Be Here Now in 1997 maybe they're onto something ?(
At half time Arsenal were showing that they might be able to step up and go for the title. Now they're back to the Arsenal that will always find away to throw away enough points so they have no chance. What was cesc thinking?
Streaming sports is ace. Ok it might not match up to watching a game on a 42" HD plasma screen but you can watch most important matches in very good quality these days. Spocast is wonderful. veetle too. I think Sky could take the credit for many of the best things about modern football but also be blamed for many of the worst.
One of those bands where I have one album (Picaresque) which I really like but I've never really felt a strong desire to investigate the rest of their discography.
I've heard great things about the John Legend / Roots collab but haven't really got into it. I think I have to give it more listens, which I'm willing to do because How I Got Over is still one of my favourites from this year
The best and most sensible post in this thread, including all of mine. Although not rating last registration as high as college dropout is something I'd disagree with. (apparently I must spread rep....) I'd like to go back and re-listen to 808's, after the new album which I like so much I might see it more as a necessary stepping stone rather than a mis-step.
Wel l cant speak for anyone else here, I just remember that some people here do have at least a small interest in Hip-hop so I thought people might be interested in this new album. Mainly because most people I know whether that be actually know in real life or dont really know but I read there posts on message boards) that have any interest in hip hop like him. If people here dont then no problem, the thread can sink to page 14.
Woah, that's pretty much all i'd meant, I like something which you don't. Ftr I think it is unusual for someone that likes hip hop not to rate his production, but no i don't think there's anything wrong with that.
