Union can be bad when a match turns into a kicking contest (which most games involving England seem to). Unfortunately there seems to be more of these games each year. People making comments about Wikipedia being unreliable is a pet hate of mine. Rugby League is too. It's stupid and the sports attempt at a world cup is one of the worst sporting events around. Although it is kind of amusing when the Kiwis beat Australia in the final.

I'm with you on that one. The most annoying thing is that half the time you hear someone say it they act like they are the first person ever to make their insightful observation.

Agreed, to sack either would be crazy. The talk about Mancini is a little bit more understandable though as Hughes was sacked last year in a fairly similar situation. Mancini will be given more time though as they never really wanted Hughes.

Agreed Gomes was at fault. It's nice to see a player suffer for this kind of thing. I hate it when you see players goes down and they grab the ball with the hands before the ref has actually blown for the foul. It reminded me a bit of the Barthez / Di Canio incident when Barthez stood claiming offside while Di Canio knocked Utd out of the cup. The game doesn't stop until the ref says so. Today's line up of games isn't the most inspiring. Thankfully I've got a holiday tomorrow so I can get drunk instead. Blackpool - West Brom tomorrow interests me much more than any of today's games. I want the weekend to end with Liverpool still in the relegation zone and the Baggies in a Champions League spot.

Barca seem really up for it tonight. They've been a bit disappointing a few times this season but really performed in the games against the bigger teams. Shame I have to go out and miss the second half. And yeah that was a really cracking goal.

The most important thing is that the goal gives my fantasy team a boost after a pretty poor day. I think that's probably why the ref gave it. Spurs should probably just save their energy and forfeit games against Man U, they never win them. Even if they go 3 goals up or score winning goals in the last minute they don't win. They could have rested the whole team for the Inter match. Hercules are beating Real, awesome!

It was nice to see Assou-Ekoto pull some other spurs players away and give the ref space to talk to the linesman, until Rio went and stuck his face in.

Blackburn were pretty great today. Roberts won't be feeling to great tonight though. His chance in particular was a really good opportunity. Wolves beating City is pretty hilarious. I'd like to see Spurs win this evening and West Brom tomorrow to put both into the top 4.

Fuck Hearing Chick Young so pleased with himself after that last minute goal on open all mics has ruined my weekend.
