Has anyone ever been to a world cup match? Or at least been in the host country during a tournament? I've not and I now really regret not making the effort to go to Germany in 2006. I was saving up for another trip at the time but could probably have managed a short visit. Who knows when there will next be a world cup in western Europe. 2006 looked like a great tournament to be a fan at too. There were big screens everywhere. You could sit on the river bank in the sun and watch matches.

His career has really taken a strange turn. I was only talking about it because I'm watching the 94 video and USA got through their group with 3 points in 3rd place! To be fair there was also one group in which three teams got 6 points, can't argue with it then.

Are the Euros now going to be the same format as the World Cup was when it had 24 teams? Half the 3rd place teams qualifying from their groups. Shite.
