Really? Not even the Homer vs New York episode? Perhaps not best ever material but I wouldn't say those episodes are indicative of a decline. 3-8 is the peak for me but seasons one and two are still excellent.

There were some great celebrity appearances in the older seasons and often celebrities would guest as a one off character rather than themselves like Meryl Streep as Lovejoy's daughter or Patrick Stewart in the Stonecutters. The worst thing about the newer episodes has to be the move towards family guy "random" style humour. Sober Barney too of course. Season 9 did have some absolute classic episodes. Homer having to pick up his car from New York, the pee wee football episode, the movementarians, the three trillion dollar bill and Homer being sanitation commissioner.

8 was the last of the golden era for me but the following few seasons are still great and certainly not terrible like the last 9 or 10 seasons. A favourite moment of mine... Reporter: Uh, question for the barbeque chef. Don't you think there is an inherent danger in sending underqualified civilians into space? Homer: I'll field this one. My 3 chelsea players gave me a decent score this week. Frustratingly I had Ben Arfa as a sub. I've already used my wildcard, after an awful start I had to use it a couple of weeks ago.

I didn't really make it clear, but I had meant that it would be the first time in the premiership, for any team. Blackpool were a lot better in the second half, I like them a lot so it was kind of nice to see they didn't drop their heads and do a Wigan like collapse. There are many other sides Id rather see completely embarrassed. Still with the opportunities that they had Chelsea could have scored a few more. Blackpool were only stopped by a couple of great saves too though. It will be interesting to see how perform in the next two matches which should be the toughest of the season so far. Atletico v Barca was good, there could have been more goals for both sides. Hopefully Messi's injury isn't too bad.

Allardyce has this strange high level of arrogance and belief in his ability. He said something before like he would be considered a genius if his name was Allardici. He seems unable to accept that people judge him on his record and style of play and that they are not dismissing him unfairly because he is English.
