I can't get my head round the idea of Ricky Foster playing for Rangers. I don't think letting Foster go on loan is a bad idea but I'm a bit confused as I though the idea was as soon as somebody was out we would get Basey in, not a striker. There's part of me which thinks that I'm actually more drunk than I raelly am just now and my mind is inventing all this. If someone had told me last season that Mulgrew and Foster would be playing for the old firm this year, I would have, well I dunno looked at them in a confused fashion I guess. I mean, And what about this last minute bargain deal of Van der Vaart to spurs? Seems like a good deal for spurs and would be even better if they didn't have a million players for that position already.

Megginson did well when he came on, I'd struggle to take any other positives from the game though.

They've got a top tracks of the 90's coming up this week too. Looks like they're trying to make a big deal out of it and reveal the list in stages through the week.

Aberdeen were pretty shit today, but I thought we were at least going to get away with a point. And Rangers got a bloody late winner too It was nice being top of the league while it lasted.

There are certainly game Chelsea could drop points in but I'd be surprised if they don't finish top of the group. I'd kind of like to see Benitez get sacked after leading Inter to 3rd place in their group.

Valencia are much weaker now but they'll still give Rangers a lesson. Rangers to get 3 points at the most. Spurs have got a really tough group on paper but since they'll play Rafa's Inter not Jose's and Bremen without Ozil I could see them scraping 2nd. But at the cost of their league form and they'd get knocked out the following round. Chelsea and barca to coast through. I tend to go for Man U to lose all the time but seeing them take Rangers apart will be hilarious.

I got all the scorers over 100 goals which pleased me but I seemed to struggle with the players in the 60-90 range for some reason.

Only 79 for me Would have been a few more if my spelling was better though! A few I was silly not to get, there some however I wouldn't have got no matter how much time I had.

They're going nowhere, the third album showed that they still have a lot more to offer. I expect them to go on and have a fairly extensive and great discography.

I love Fantastic Mr Fox, I love the animation style, think the story is great and I thought the voice performances were more or less spot on. But hey Different strokes....

"Whatever people say......" is by far the Arctics weakest effort for me it doesn't come close to their 2nd and 3rd efforts which i think are both excellent and I struggle to pick a favourite of the two. I'd probably pick Blue just ahead of Pinkerton although I would have said differently at other times. They're both miles better than anything that followed though. Make Believe is possibly the worst album I've ever bought.

For some reason one of the papers here has an interview with the "escort" Peter Crouch slept with. She talks about having slept with lots of players but from Real Madrid who are all dickheads apparently and treated her badly but of Crouch "Although he's not handsome, he was very nice and treated me very gently all the time."

Milan are coming to Barcelona for a friendly tomorrow night. I'm going to the game hopefully being a friendly it will be quite open and Ronaldinho will get the chance to show off some of his old tricks. That video is pretty awesome. Shame he lost it so badly.

You're right but it depends how and if he uses them. Looking at the first couple of weeks games there is obviously a lot of shit that City could run riot against and bang in the goals but I think if they lined-up in the same way as last night against Utd or Chelsea they'd come up short. Probably still get a 0-0 due to Joe Hart being superman.

I'm all for video technology for goal line and penalty decisions. I don't really understand any of the arguments against it. The press seem to be going a bit over the top with City this morning after a flattering score line against a side that look like they'll struggle to do anything better than 7th for the second year in a row. Milner, Toure Yaya and Johnson all played well but I don't see the system of 1 striker who drops back to the half way line most of the time producing goals against the better sides. Disappointed to see that Barca look like they're about to waste a load of money on one of the premiership's most dislikeable, dirty and over rated players.

I managed to watch the game online today, joined bet365 who were streaming the game live, don't know if they will show aberdeen games often but if they do the 5 euro deposit will be more than worth it. Although the game today was pretty shite, until the Dazzler popped up. Chelsea winning 6-0 again and Barca winning the super cup with a 4-0 second leg victory made this pretty much the best start to a season ever!
