Had a great time at the game yesterday, I'm pretty optimistic for the season now as the new signings all showed a lot of promise and the way the team set out seemed to suit all the best players. West Brom and Wigan looked bloody awful yesterday. Blackpool could have had 5 or 6 before half time. Chelsea could get 8 again (or more) against Wigan next week. Then again weird Wigan could win 3-1 again. Soda Jerk I'm starting to come round to your way of thinking abour Evra, somehow I've only just found out about him once playing with chicken in his boot!!!

Yes! I'm in Aberdeen on holiday and this will be my first Dons game in about a year and half. Worryingly that seems to have been enough time so that I'm actually looking forward to this game and optimistic for an entertaining victory!

Cuba Sweden Argentina Peru Mexico Iran There are a few countries that I've been to before that I would really like to return to and see more of but those are the first ones that come to mind that I've never visited.

I don't get all the problems with the location. I understand the attachment to Pittodrie and it's city centre location but as far as I understand it, due to the awful state of the stadium, remaining there just isn't feasible. There really isn't a viable alternative site in the city centre, so moving (slightly) outside of the city is really the only option. I would imagine more fans have been travelling from the south of the city or towns to the south of the city than those who live within the city centre to get to pittodrie anyway.

Is there a better option?

This has really grown on me (bet no one has ever said THAT about a National album before! ) I've been listening to it a lot the past week and I now think it does match the previous two records and could possibily be in my top 10 of the year so far.

Anyone else use Sopcast to watch games? Links for watching the games don't seem to be as common as they used to but once they're up they're more reliable than streams such as justin.tv myp2p.eu is a good site for finding links for watching almost any live sport. I'm going for 1-1 tonight.

I loved it too. I agree the second episode was the weakest but I still enjoyed it. I really hope it returns with a longer second season. I've read a few criticisms of him but I really loved Moriarty's appearance. The bit when he throws the memory stick into the pool, "BORING! Could have got it ages ago" was great. My one complaint with the final episode was I would have liked it if it had finished when Moriarty left the first time leaving Holmes and Watson safe but confused. The cliff hanger with the snipers obviously leaves you in suspense but I fear a silly resolution making me

I heard O'Neil wanted all the money from a Milner sale to be re-invested in the sqaud but he was told he couldn't have it. Strange thing is that these money issues and questions of ambition clearly came up at the end of last season, so either Lerner gave a false impression back then or Martin thought he'd deal with it and has now changed his mind. Randy Lerner has always come across a good guy and I certainly wouldn't label him as a Romanov like figure. He just seems to be (perhaps overly) cautious with the finances. But we saw what happened with Leeds when you spend money that isn't there to get into the Champion's League. Bad thing for O'Neil is that if he had left a couple of months ago he would be Liverpool manager now which I'm sure he would have loved a crack at. And I really did love Thuram, he was great in serie a and his goals against Croatia is one of my fave world cup memories! I always tried to sign him in Champ Man.

I expect Killie and St Mirren to be the bottom two, I'd like Hamilton to go down though. I have a high dislike of them which I think almost completely stems from going to see the dons lose 2-0 away to them being one of my worst ever football experiences. And Kilmarnock have been in the top division as long as I've been following football, they seem they like they belong there no matter how shit they are.

At times last season the top 3 all seemed like they just couldn't be bothered and didn't really turn up and gifted points to some lower teams. Yes Chelsea lost to Wigan but they also beat them 8-0. Also 31 points would have been enough to stay up last season, the lowest in some time. I might just be looking back overly fondly but I remember in the past caring about the relegation battle a lot more as there were always teams I would miss if they got relegated and teams really seemed to fight hard and scrape points to stay up. The last couple of years I've looked at the table and thought I'd like bottom six all to get relegated. And yes this McGeady thing is ridiculous but kind of hilarious that with all Rangers money problems Celtic are having this amount of cash just thrown at them!

I too respect what he's done, he's achieved pretty much the most he could have. I dislike him and find him annoying for much pettier and illogical reasons than his football style, things like that stupid cap he wears!! Also, as well as Stoke have done I think their (relatively) high positions of the last couple of seasons shows just how poor the premiership is at the bottom end of the table these days.

I agree about Pulis. He needs to get rid of the track suit too. It's so championship.

Vicky Cristina Barcelona - Disappointing and perhaps the weakest of Allen's recent efforts that I've seen. I liked it in parts but there was just something about it that was kind of annoying. Also I hated the voice over narration. 6/10
