  1. I saw this list posted on a another site but it was quite different. Definitely didn't have Libertines songs as 1-4.
  2. Sometimes I got caught out by the old films though. I put the dvd in, go away for a couple of minutes, come back and realise that the film started playing straight away and I have to skip back to the start.
  3. Great episode tonight, I've enjoyed all the new series though. Next weeks episode looks very interesting, which makes it even more annoying that we have to wait two weeks! Martha is much better than Rose.
  4. Currently reading Anna Karenina by Tolstoy. Enjoying it a lot so far, but I'm not that far into to it yet.
  5. Wasn't that To My Boy? They were great whatever their name was anyway.
  6. There is still a gig on tonight, the supports plus one other band are still playing. If you go to this you will get a fiver back from the shitdisco ticket. Or you can get a full refund from one-up. I just called the tunnels to check
  7. I've given up on Scotsport these days so I can't comment on what he's like now, but I always liked him before and he was great on Monday night live when it was on.
  8. As many people have said ITV has an amazing ability to bring together an unbelievably terrible line-up of commentators and analysts. There's been many a champions league match where I have got excited in the build up at the prospect of a great game, the I hear the voices of Tyldsley and Pleat and feel like turning over anything else. BBC Scotland's combination of Paul Mitchell and Ian McCall is possibly even worse, two horrible voices with a vocabulary of about 15 words. As mentioned John Motson is past his best, he should have retired at least 5 years ago imo. It;s almost embarrising sometimes when he gets completely confused and Mark Lawrenson has to explain things in the condescending way on Lawro can do. I can't believe I saw Graham Spiers mentioned though, he's awesome. There does seem to a lack of quality commentators around though. David Begg and Alistair Alexander on Sportsound are both decent though. Peter Brackley was always my favourite, I'm not sure if he's still around.
  9. Anyone else here a fan of his work? I read 'Dance Dance Dance' a while ago and I finished 'The Wind-up Bird Chronicle' a few days ago. Both were absolutely amazing and like nothing I've read before.
  10. I read 'Post Office' by Charles Bukowski yesterday which was very good. I'll definitley be reading more of his novels. I started Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy today. I would actually rate Fahrenheit 451 above Brave New World but neither are close to 1984.
  11. 1. Radiohead 2. Bjork 3. Sonic Youth 4. The Beach Boys 5. The Clash 6. The White Stripes 7. The Beatles 8. Talking Heads 9. Joy Division 10. Pavement The top 5 was quite easy but 6-10 was tougher and would be likely to change every day.
  12. Great fun. I went the other day and scored 47.
  13. BBC NEWS | Entertainment | Writer Kurt Vonnegut dies at 84 He's without doubt my favourite author, each of his books is brilliant. He will be sadly missed. R.I.P
  14. I've seen Brian Wilson live twice in the past few years and he was great both times, his band are fantastic and even though Brian himself isn't the mobile these days his voice is in great shape and still sounds fantastic.
  15. I haven't heard the new single yet but I'm looking forward to the new album, I thought Lifeblood was great, for me it is easily their second best behind The Holy Bible.
  16. Bjork has been announced as one of the headliners for the Connect Festival!!!
  17. The family i'm staying with just now aren't really clear on what they do at christmas but i'm guessing church in the morning and food afterwards, although it is more likely to be Fufu with goat than turkey with al lthe trimmings.
  18. A Confederacy of Dunces should really have been in my list too...and Fahrenheit 451
  19. Catch 22 - Joseph Heller Slaughterhouse 5 - Kurt Vonnegut 1984 - George Orwell The Picture of Dorian Grey - Oscar Wilde The Unbearable Lightness of Being - Milan Kundera 100 years of Solitude - Gabriel Garcia Marquez Crime and Punishment - Fyodor Dostoyevsky Jeeves and Wooster Omnibus - P.G. Wodehouse Mother Night - Kurt Vonnegut Breakfast at Tiffany's - Truman Capote
  20. Aberdeen second in the league! Why did they have to wiat for me to leave the country before playing well???
  21. :O I've been wondering/ being scared of what the results of my venture online last night were. The electricity was out most the day so i was kept waiting until now.

  24. Wednesday's match in Ukraine is huge now, a win for Scotland and Italy being held to a draw in Georgia would be perfect and would give us a great chance for qualification.
