Anyone else up at 5am to watch today's race? This was the first one of the season i've properly watched. A really good race, Raikkonen and Montoya on the first lap was cool. Another win for Alonso though, he's already lookng odds on for the championship. Als odid they explain how Montoya managed to lose 2 or 3 places under the first safety car?o_O

I wasn't trying to be negative about Brooks, more defending Abramovich a bit.

There isn't that much difference between Brooks Mileson and Roman Abramovich. Brooks Mileson isn't a lifelong Gretna fan and Abramovich is not a life long Chelsea fan. They are however both lovers of football and clearly enjoy the sport and now love the teams they are investors in. I really can't see any "world of difference", you can't really cite the amount of money invested as they are playing on completely different scales, in fact if you consider the level Gretna are at Brooks' investment is far more powerful and changing. Chelsea may have spent as much money in three years as Man U did in ten but Gretna will have spent more in the past couple of years than teams they have played against will in the next 50.

Going out tonight, then I'm spending the rest of my weekend in the Uni library.

I was going to buy some Kafka soon. What do you think of them, I was probably going to get The Trial first.

Unfortunately due to Uni I haven't been able to see much in the past couple of weeks. I saw one episode where Steph chucked Max out. Anything else exciting been happening?

It's so true My favourite band is Radiohead and it had been for quite a few years now. I just love everything about their music, they have released five albums in a row that I have found comletely stunning and they don't look like stopping. There are loads of artists i think i would have never gotten into if it had not been for radiohead. I find the band to have extremely interesting and intriuging personalities which i think increases my liking for them.

Haven't heard it yet but I've read some bad reviews and from what I've read they seem to be cutting out a lot of what I liekd best about them. I'll jsut have to wait until I buy it myself to find out.

The headliners aren't really inspiring me to go. As good as Muse will be I've seen them before and Pearl will just be...bad.

The Beach boys (well pet sounds) were also very important in moving them forward.

I think the white album would lose most of it's charm if it weren't a double album

Bjork's debut is great, but I'd rate all her others since then higher. [EDIT] i just realised that this isn't the best albums since 93 thread making my comment a bit pointless.

I hadn't heard of them before, but i saw the video for "Tricycle" on 120 minutes last night and liked it a lot.

It's probably Rubber Soul for me. I love the overall sound and style of the album and it's consistently brilliant all the way through. I think Magical Mystery Tour is under-rated, it has better songs than Sgt. Peppers.

Apparantly the general sale tickets released on saturday were pretty sold in a couple of minutes after goign on sale (for the may shows anyway) Anyway I'm actually really looking forward to seeing them in a stadium rather than an indoor venue. Their outdoor performances such as glastonbury always look amazing.

For financial reasons I've bee navoiding buying cd's recently but I did buy The London Sinfonietta's Jerwood 2: Hayes, Greenwood & Fujikura

Missed this game due to work, but from what everyone is saying it appeasr to be the same old players that are ltting the team down. Foster, Dempsey, Diamond, Mackie.. Griffin has played well donce he arrived and should definitely be kept.

I suppose you can't really overlook the affect that being the home nation does seem to have, so Germany could do better than I predicted.
