  1. If Roy Keane signs for Aberdeen I will live the life of a Giraffe for 1 year.
  2. Don't think he'll sign for Celtic, despite him being a huge fan I doubt he'd want to play in the SPL and I don't really think Strachan wants him. He should go to Wigan
  3. BSP are good, wouldn't say their typical fan is under 16 or an NME reader though. I've never heard faust
  4. Upstair's at O'neils is 4 on Fridays and 5 on Saturdays. Half Price for students. It does usually seem to only get busy for the last couple of hours though. It's definitely my favourite club in aberdeen. Dancing on tables is always fun. I also support Kilau as a good coffee shop and the globe and the howff as good pubs.
  5. I've only ever used student I.D when I've been out in aberdeen and I can't rememebr ever having a problem. If it's a college card though some places might not accept it.
  6. The first album is great, I'm hoping to get along to one of your gigs again soon

  8. Pitchfork have just put together a new feature on the worst record covers of all time http://pitchforkmedia.com/features/weekly/worst-album-covers/index.shtml
  9. How do you determine that someone is doing a degree for selfish purposes? Surely you can't just assume that students who are not studying in business or the public sector wont contribute back to society and charge them more.
  10. To be honest X-factor has a very limited impact on the music industry, it will affect a couple of weeks of the singles charts nothing more.
  11. Of course a starfish can wear a hat, it can wear five!!!!
  12. The Conway sisters are shite, surely they are more comparable with B*Witched though than The Corrs. I can't remember who Maria is, so I'm not that bothered.
  13. Surely though the argument depends on what the students aim of studying the course is. Someone may go into an Art Degree course purely looking to develop their art knowledge and skill. To them it may not matter how it would help them get a job and it then it would not be worth judging the degree's success by this means.
  14. I was at last night's gig and it was awesome, the set list was great. They played more songs from "the white stripes" and "de stijl" than I thought they would.
  15. It's funny that his first defeat comes on an issue where he apparantly does have public support, if that is the case i don't see it doing as much harm ot him as some people are saying, but if he has more losses on upcoming votes then he will be in trouble.
  16. Surely though it does have some proven benefits, I'm pretty sure the people that conduct these experiments don't do it just because they like hurting animals.
  17. If there was a case that it could lead to significant medical developments and there was no other way of doing the research then i would accept it.
  18. As far as I'm aware the NHS and private sector don't have different sources of transplant organs though.
  19. Tax from cigarettes goes to the Government. The Government allocates a portion of their budget to the NHS and will do so whatever has made up their budget. I'm not saying the loss of tax revenue wont casue problems to the government with financing but to say the NHS will collapse is just incorrect.
  20. Thats ridiculous, if smoking was banned the make up of their budget would certainly be affected but to say they would sacrifice one of the key components of their welfare system to cover the cost is just stupid. The government is in a position where they virtually have the power to raise whatever money they require either through tax on other items or increased debt.
