I have to say Liams voice is on good form though, the best it has sounded in a while. And stop all the be here now hating, it's a masterpiece
  6. I saw rilo kiley earlier this year supporting bright eyes, they were quite good, i think the songs came across better than they do on cd.
  7. white stripes - i just don't know what to do with myself (i know it's a cover)
  8. but, liverpool were always going to be more confident after coming back from 3 down. And it was an italian side and penalties, they dont go well together.
  9. If anything I suppose this game keeps the old cliche alive that it really is a game of two halves. Milan were absolutely superb in the first half and really outclassed liverpool, made them look out of their depth. The third goal was fantastic. I like everyone else thought it was over at half time, but Liverpool quickly turned the tables, the milan players clearly didn't get setlled quickly after any of the goals and liverpool just kept on the pressure. One thing I must say though is that it was never a penalty, but that doesn't matter now. The game seemed destined for penalties once it reached 3-3 and i always thought Milan's only chance was to stop it from getting there and Shevchenko had the perfect chance but dudek was unbelievable. Liverpool coming from behind were always going to be in the better frame of mind for the penalties, and italians don't exactly have a good record at penalties. Dida was way off his line, but so are most keepers when it comes to penalties, referees will really need to clamp down sooner or later to stop it. As for the champions league argument, Liverpool don't really have a right of complaint as the rules have been their from the beggining and if the rules were to be changed it should be for next season not affecting this one. You can't forget that Liverpool wont be the first team to lose out with this rule. Five teams from one country in the competition would be a lot, whether i'd like it back to only the champions, i'm not sure. I used to be heavily in favour of it, but the excitement of the competition makes me think it is maybe ok as it is. Then again if it were only champions then the uefa cup would really be something of value again and hey we could maybe even take back the cup winners cup.
  10. a crazy game, not quite the best final i've ever seen, but still it's up there. The milan fans must be gutted, i was so disappointed after the game, i can't believe traore is a european champion. I wont say liverpool didn't deserve it, but it was never a pen! Milan were awesome in the first half, but thepool's blitz in the second half was unbelieveable. If they didn't get the goals then they never would have, But, Traore and david may are both now european champions
  11. what a crazy game, djimi traore is now a champions league winner, football is the loser today j/k liverpool were always going to win when it went to penalties
  12. yeah playing liverpool at their own game might be the right approach
  13. 8o Where they playing in striling? What are they playing? [edit] i managed to find out about it myself wiht a little google searching.
  14. details on their website http://www.sonicyouth.com/main/index.html although no release date as yet SYR 6 also out soon.
  15. yeah i suppose, still it was tougher than man u's run to the final in 99 when they played juve and inter who were 8th and 9th in serie a at the time, their worst seasons in recent history. t would be cool if this was like the liverpool - alaves cup final a few years ago, all liverpool games throughout the competition being low scoring boring games then suddenly a goal fest in the final.
  16. Milan's last four games, Milan 3-3 Palermo Lecce 2-2 Milan Milan 0-1 Juventus PSV 3-1 Milan they jsut sneaked into the final and in the end handed the title to juve when it looked like being one of the closest title races around. This is hardly the stuff of european champions, but they do have an abundance of experience and talent and if they can get it together for this one game, they should win. One hting is for sure though if liverpool win, you cant say they dont deserve it having to play juve, chelsea and milan.
  17. Well I wont say that i was happy about it, but i just don't really like Liverpool. Also I've followed italian football for along time and like their teams to do well in europe. Still I wish it was Juve that had a chance of winning I quite liek benitez but knocking out two of my team from europe was enough to keep my dislike of the team going strong.
