  1. Just listening to some slowdive for (as far as I can remember) the first time. Thanks to this article http://www.factmag.com/2014/01/24/a-beginners-guide-to-slowdive/1/ Um, they sound fucking amazing.
  2. So the upshot of teenagers today becoming desensitised to violence and hardcore porn is that they find someone not liking mario and a refusal to get a glass of water absolutely hilarious? Theses are not the consequences the Guardian warned me of.
  3. Those guys are much worse! They don't just nod and agree with what's being said but add loads of extra bull shit. Amazing.
  4. I saw the pixies twice in the first couple of years of the come back. I won't be fussed if they clash with someone else and I end up missing them although obviously in an ideal world I will see them and they will be awesome like they were before.
  5. worst of the show ever? or of this season? I liked it a lot although I agree the conclusion to it was a bit of a re-tread. I'm very happy with the season in general though. So much better than the shite from year.
  6. The acts I'm probably most excited to see are: Kendrick Lamar Cut Copy The National Television Sharon Van Etten Laurent Garnier (seen twice before at festivals and blew me away each time) Spoon St Vincent Arcade Fire (hoping there live show is still great even though I'm not keen on a lot of their later stuff) Chvrches
  7. Great line-up as ever. Sadly my initial reaction was actually disappointment because with all the festivals they've said they will do Outkast was the one act I was really hoping to see on it. Lots to get excited about though.
  8. You will never know. It will haunt you forever.
  9. Todd Terje is releasing his debut album http://www.residentadvisor.net/news.aspx?id=22341 He's including a few of his already released tracks on it, which I'm not usually a fan of but it will be nice to have Inspector Norse on an album as it's one of my favourite tracks of the last few years.
  10. I absolutely loved that at school. I wonder if the bbc still makes shows like that especially for schools.
  11. It was great. Of all the various people off British telly to turn up on Game of Thrones Uncle Ginger is possibly my favourite.
  12. I like the Stepbrothers album but wouldn't call it great.
  13. Actress is available to listen to on npr http://www.npr.org/2014/01/23/265355718/first-listen-actress-ghettoville?utm_campaign=music&utm_source=nprmusic&utm_medium=twitter
  14. Good shout on the BBC Narnia. And Defenders of the earth.
  15. I have fond memories of loads of shows and I also bought a few on dvd to rewatch. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was my favourite for a long time, for a while there was an episode on every day at the perfect time before I had to leave for school. Another big favourite was The Visionaries. A lot of people write this off as being made purely to sell toys. Maybe it was, I don't care it was the best. And it still holds up. Amazing intro too. I also loved Dogtanian and bought it too. Agree on Willy Fog and Mysterious Cities of gold too although I remember little about Cities of gold other than the theme tune. I was also a big fan of Mask but I saw an episode if it a few years back and it was actually terrible.
  16. As wel as finding the video amazing I actually really love this song too, thanks for sharing. I clicked on a a couple of other flight facilities tracks at random but they didn't sound as good, would you recommend any in particular?
  17. New version of Disclosure's F For You featturing Mary J. Blige is cool.
  18. One of the worst things about the pre-world cup period. The worry that at any moment a star player could get an injury and be ruled out. Very sad it's started so early.
  19. Tonight in Aberdeen-Music news ca_gere throws a curve ball and completely confuses Teabags using a new technique which he is calling "a joke". Expect to see the concept gain in popularity over the coming year.
  20. I wholeheartedly approve of this attitude to work.
  21. Shouldn't be posting on here then should you! Get working hard, make up that lost time!
  22. Every time I hear someone moan about a long commute in the car to work, sitting in traffic for ages, I feel really happy it's something I don't have to do. My journey to work at the moment is about 50 minutes in total which isn't the shortest but most of it is a pleasant enough train journey which I can read on. Obviously it's not something which people have a choice in really but it just sounds shit.
