  1. Never heard of him/her/them. Recommend a track to try first?
  2. Yeah the whole albums. I don't ever make playlists really, tend to listen to full albums or dj mixes. I can add the chvrches album to my earlier post. It's on just now and almost done. Great music and I haven't threatened to rape the singer.
  3. 98, not surprised I scored relatively low but it would have been a lot worse if I hadn't recently filled in a lot of gaps with regards to classics I'd not seen. Of that list it's the oldies I'm really missing out on. Not seen many of the 50s or 60s ones at all. There were also a few on there of films based on books I've read and like but had no idea there were respected film versions. Inspired me to get downloading though.
  4. Danny Brown | Old - Again today, twice. Already said I like this a lot. Not much to add today. The National | Trouble Will Find Me - Someone else posted this the other day and I said then that I rate it highly. I think the boxer will always be my favourite of theirs mostly because it was the one that got me into them but their output really is very consistent and this one is right up there. What would other The National fans pick as their top album? Ariana Grande | Yours Truly - At its best I absolutely love this but it's let down by some real duds the last quarter is especially weak. I mean it has a song with mika on it for crying out loud. Mika was bad enough before but it's 2013 now what is he doing on albums?
  5. I'm in the middle of doing it now. Flo was my first guess for Norway but that might have been triggered by you saying how surprising it was. Btw does anyone else think this is actually a potentially very good idea? http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/oct/10/uefa-internationals-nations-league-friendlies
  6. We're both in our thirties, yeah.
  7. And don't smile. If he's moody he can come across as a scary villain of some sort. That big grin makes him look as if he couldn't tell the difference between a circle and a square.
  8. Colleen | The Weighing of the Heart - 2nd listen to this. It doesn't sound like anything else I've listened to this year and I think I'll need to be in a certain to listen to it. I can see it being a grower though, there's a lot to take in, despite the music being quite sparse itself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-MMHRZYM8U The Field | Cupid's Head - Probably 5th or 6th listen since it came out. Another fantastic album from him. My early judgement would put it second in his discography, the music's as mesmerising and engaging as ever but with just enough different that this album has its own identity.
  9. I don't see the problem with the band dj set thing, not in principle anyway. As long as it is clear on the poster that it is a dj set. There are many acts which may be equally know for dj sets as they are for live performances. Hot chip aren't one of them but as mentioned they do dj regularly and I don't see why they should have a different name when it's the same group of people. However if it's the case of a band not being associated with djing at all and the crucial info is written in a tiny font I can see the original point. THE BEATLES (DJ SET)
  10. I know there aren't many that exist but that really is not a flattering picture of Ribery, is it?
  11. These pictures of the Bayern team all dressed up and drinking beer at Oktoberfest are great. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24429252
  12. Never heard of them before but I'm listening to that single now and it's pretty cool.
  13. Actually thinking about it I haven't listened to them at all in quite some time. I should change that. I remember liking the new one when it first came out but I haven't really listened to it since that first month.
  14. I've not listened to Painful in ages, I think I prefere Electr-o-pura from that period but both are great.
  15. I spent many a day down the park with my best mate Robbie Keane dreaming of playing for Cambridge.
  16. http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2013/oct/08/unwanted-xi-world-cup-de-gea-soldado Any other's you'd add into this choice?
  17. That's a bizarre way of thinking to me. One person makes comments threatening rape to another and you seem to think the problem lies with the one receiving the threats. Maybe she's not the only person to receive messages like this but I really can't see why she should just accept it and stay quiet. I think it's a good thing that the extent of online abuse is made clear to people who might not be aware of it. It's incredible this article could even lead to any debate.
  18. That's amazing. I want to know more. Where was it taken? How did they end up in the same place? So many questions. Edit - ANSWERS!
  19. I like it a lot more that high violet. In fact it could even end up being my favourite of theirs. For whatever reason I'd got it into my head that after a great run they might have been entering a period of diminishing returns. Very happy to be wrong about that.
  20. The Fact website is similarly bad. A list of ten things will always be spread over ten pages.
