  1. I didn't try and turn this into a competition. Unless of course it's a stupid and ugly competition, in which case you all win. Or lose. Which ever is funnier...
  2. Maybe it's just when I got into Iced Earth, but Dark Saga and Something Wicked will always be easily my favourite two albums by them! I had this song ages ago called 'Storming Across Heaven' by DragonLAND... it had some good moments, but also some uber fromage. Dont' know if you've heard much by them? (I think I've quoted the lyrics here before)
  3. I wasn't aware they called me that at all....
  4. Now that's damn good going! Well done sir(s)
  5. jamesy looks up to most people Mr Hog... However MMW have had around 4800 plays on myspace and around 4400 on purevolume which is not too bad going! Add to that our massive 28 plays on AUBL charts and it's all good news!
  6. Don't worry - it's not a fight! After the banter I have been involved in over the last few weeks has subsided slightly now - I thought I would consider what power metal albums I have actually bought over the years. Here's the ones I can remember: Are 54 - No Visable Scars Area 54 - Beckoning Of The End Bal Sagoth - Battle Magic Children Of Bodom - Hatebreeder Chlidren Of Bodom - Chlidren Of Bodom - Hatecrew Death Roll Demons And Wizards - Demons And Wizards Gamma Ray - No World Order Helloween - Keeper Of TheSeven Keys Part II* Helloween - Better Than Raw Iced Earth - Iced Earth Iced Earth - Night Of The Storm Rider Iced Earth - Burnt Offerings Iced Earth - Days Of Purgatory Iced Earth - Dark Saga* Iced Earth - Something Wicked This Way Comes* Iced Earth - Horror Show Iced Earth - The Glorious Burden Nightwish - Wishmaster Nightwish - Century Child Nightwish - Once Primal Fear - Black Sun Stratovarius - Elements Part I Symphony X - The Divine Wings Of Tragedy Symphony X - V Symphony X - The Odyssey* Three Inches Of Blood - Battlecry Under A Winter Sun Threshold - Critical Mass Threshold - Critical Energy 1998 was a great year for me and power metal, and as you can tell, I used to like Iced Earth! Anyway... What power metal albums do you own? Any ones you are particularly proud or ashamed of? And don't be dirty: downloading doesn't count - they have to be REAL copies. I haven't included stuff like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden - who some people might say were. * denotes particularly good power metal album
  7. Can't we just beat her so badly it would render her so hideosuly disfigured that no one would so much as want to stand within a 10m radius of her? No wait, somebody has done that to her already... Yeah I'm up for it.
  8. I'd say the last Blink 182 record. I wouldn't say NFG at all. Firstly because most people's first point of reference is the vocals and Bob's range is a lot lower pitched than whiney old Jordon (I think thats his name). Also NFG are a lot riffier, if that makes sense.
  9. That's the stuff that Layne Staley took that made him not live anymore... Oops.
  10. I never use them. Never been a big fan of whammy bar theatrics and I hate the tuning problems associated with floyd rose etc bridges. Even if they're reliable it is extra effort to restring/retune a guitar! My jackson had a floyd rose but I got it blocked up by a guitar shop so that it's solid like a hard tail guitar.
  11. I thought that was the right one... remembered the colour scheme haha, my "25 please" joke was found amusing by no-one...
  12. Liverpool 2 - Tottenham 2 delighted especially as Middlesborough and Bolton drew against other teams last night. West brom tonight for the, ahem, mighty spurs.
