  1. saw metallica in december 2003 in london. amazing. superb. brilliant.

only reason im not going this time is i simply can't afford it.

no idea what you are complaining about, bullet for my valentine are pretty good. just be glad it isn't that trivum pish. There is only one hetfield, that trivium prick is not worthy.

edit: him and avenged sevnfold are pish also.

  2. howards alias were, as usual, brilliant. Extra sax polayer really adds something extra :)

    cashdown were good too.

pretty annoyed though. howards alias lplayed for about as long as the supports. Why therefore have 3 supports? The money might be better spent on promoting the gig (didn't see any posters around town or myspace flyers etc etc...only knew about the gig because i saw it on the howards alias myspace and amy's post on here)

matt from howards alias said they were meant to play an hour but only got '36' minutes.

  3. out of town gigs before you are 18 is easy mate:

we played a one-off glasgow gig: 4 of us (at the time) 40 quid return train ticket for all of us. then stay at eurohostel. cheap as chips.

we are doing a minitour in april:

two cars. one driven by me, other by a mate. into two cars you can take 6 people and some equipment. organise to use house drumkits for the tour - sorted. sleep on mates floors/hostels.

  4. I did a world challenge with my old school last year. As an overall experience it was absolutely brilliant.

    However!!! be warned.

You ARE being ripped off. I paid 3050 pounds for an experince which costs nothing like that amount of money if booked alone, or with a different company.

World challenge also managed to seriously under budget us in terms of cash out there and we ended up buying food out of our own pockets for alot of the expedition. Some of their helth and safety rules are little OTT, however if you are hush hush you manage to do various activities which are actually against the rules, so long as you have a cool leader.

You WILL need a part time job to do a world challenge. Some members of our team didn't have one, but they managed to raise cash from their parents....which defeats the whole point.

ps - where are you going? i'm sure you'll have a great time.
