9am doesn't bother me either way, but theres something inspirational about 9.05am - the moment i look at the alarm clock and realise "i'm 5 minutes late!" it somehow makes me move with a speed and purpose and determination to get there only 10 minutes late. if i could find a way to harness my 9.05am powers at any time of day, i think i'd be set for life. but i can't. oh well

i saw this on the board outside a newsagents today "aberdeen is scotland's sunniest city" or words to that effect. it was raining at the time

at uni a while ago(doing chemistry labs), i had a beaker full of thionyl chloride i didn't need and i couldn't be bothered going to find the proper waste disposal bottle. i poured the lot in the sink at pretty much the same time i realised how the thionyl chloride would react with the water in the sink. i quickly left the lab before the clouds of sulphurous gas formed and got to see a bunch of people from the next door lab (where most of the gas drifted) come out into the corridor coughing like mad.
