I actually stopped being vegan before I knew vegan was hipster. In all seriousness I gave it up because it stopped being a choice I was making and started to feel like a chore - it wasn't something I wanted any more it was something I felt stuck with. Not to say I won't give up animal products again in the future, but for now I'm happy to be trying new things again - and to not feel like an afterthought every time I eat out. xx

Rise Against - Endgame. I fucking love this record. I love the fact that they haven't done this whole "return to our roots" shit and started putting out the same songs as they did before trying to get money for old rope - just because some of the 'old skool' fans seem to think the band owe them something. They have progressed their sound and moved forward and made another fucking stoater of a record IMO. xx

Exactly. I was vegan for years (back before it was cool [/hipster]) and if you want a 'veggie option' that is just a meat based meal with the meat removed or replaced then go for a pub supper. There are so many vegetarian dishes out there that are absolutely brilliant, I'd happily eat in a veg restaurant both because it's healthier and (most importantly) it'd be really good for something different when you fancy a change. xx
