about time they came back to aberdeen! I am so excited
Hello all,
As there's generally not much to do January, we thought we'd come out and do
some shows for you UK folk. It's safe to assume there will be an album and
single around this time too, but the press reports are slightly ahead of
themselves. Not saying they're wrong. Just saying they're a little previous in
declaring it all done and dusted.
January 15th GLASGOW, ABC
January 16th GLASGOW, ABC
January 17th GLASGOW, ABC
January 18th ABERDEEN, Music Hall
January 26th BIRMINGHAM, Academy
January 27th LIVERPOOL, Academy
January 28th NEWCASTLE, Academy
January 29th MANCHESTER, Ritz
February 1st BRISTOL, Colston Hall
February 2nd CAMBRIDGE, Corn Exchange
February 3rd BRIGHTON, Dome
February 5th DUBLIN, Ambassador
February 7th BELFAST, Ulster Hall
February 9th SHEFFIELD, Octagon
February 10th LONDON, Hammersmith Apollo
Tickets go on sale at 9am on Thursday November 3rd (it says Friday in the music
press, but that's just to give you people a day's start on people who don't love
us enough to give us their e-mail address) Visit the Tour section of the website
at http://www.belleandsebastian.com/tour.php for prices and details of where to
buy. Needless to say, we'll have details of worldwide tours fairly soon. It's
all happening though.
In other news, The Music Show programme B&S filmed for the other week starts
this Friday November 4th on BBC Two Scotland. It airs between 11.35pm and
12.05am and one of the new B&S tracks will be on it, so tune in!
Thanks,
Belle and Sebastian.

Sadly British Sea Power cannot make the gig as they are in transit from a festival in Lyon.
Would have been nice.
October however.
so are we ever gonna see british sea power
-
yep i agree well not heard of the first dude but the other 2 are talented but hey thats my opinion sure lots of aothers would disagree
-
like who?
-
well you are in no position to comment.I expected a terrible show on thursday night and i was shocked. I admit i thought his singing would be ropey but i couldnt fault it on thursday night, you missed out on a great gig. The crowd were good too for a change!
-
i couldnt care less if he wasnt on drugs' date=' i would still think he was talentless. he cant sing (he can mumble though) he cant write anything new musically either.
terrible[/quote']
Were you at the gig????
-
No' date=' the argument is he's a drug user whose current band are shite. The bands you listed can't be compared in terms of musical legacy to the Shambles. At least they have all released an album. Razorlight are also pish in my opinion though. I will happily admit i'm wrong if Babyshamble release a great album, but i'm not holding my breath.[/quote']
eh surely the act that he is a drug addict is irrelevant. If we all had the saem taste in music life would be dull. You think his music is rubbish, fine...that has nothing to do with hi habit
-
I think people spend far to much of there time discussing his drugged up state' date=' and forget about the music. Its all fine to talk about his problems but at the end of the day a couple kids on a forum with some records on there shelfs arn't really going to make that much of an impact let alone a difference...
Enjoy the music....
If you'v lost your faith in love & music, then the end wont be long!!! Pete Doherty[/quote']
Well said! I dont give a f.....
its all about the music
-
no prob i aim to please, Is it any good> I cant download it til i get home from work!
-
yeah true i guess but all these storeis etc are not helping him and even if people do care there is nothing they can do for him > he should just be left alone to get on with it
-
pete is only harming himself by doing drugs and thats his problem why does everyone care so much????

http://teawithtufty.blogspot.com/2005/09/babyshambles-bootleg-greenock-town_24.html
bootleg fo the greenock gig if anyone wants it
Babyshambles put on a great gig end of! I was disappointed after the lemon tree gig fiasco but glad he didnt appear at it cause no way would that of been so good. Pete is a public drug user hence all the hype. I was at a mushulu on monday to see Hal and their support act was spotted snorting cocaine in the toilets of drummonsd....so many people do it, its just that they dont do it in the public eye. i dont agree with what he does but he has talent and i like his music, the rest i really dont care about
-
2 for sale face value to SOLD OUT gig.
Anyone interested pm me!

little kicks were alright, thought the sound was a bit off. Hal were ok a bit wishy washy as expected, not really my cup of tea. Duke special was ace. Pity there was no blondie cover like he did in drummonds.....
