scottST
Very impressive! Where was this recorded?Loved the use of clean guitar in I Found You, to give a more laid back feel, strangely makes me think of the Ataris, dont know why though. It's the kind of song i'd listen to if i had problems with my girlfriend, its got its sad element, but strangely is very positive, especially from the quiet breakdown onwards....loved the Dr Drakes reference too! What I Deserved took a few listens, it reminds me of Motion City Soundtrack, with a shade of Death Cab for Cutie a little bit, quite a bit punkier and more upbeat than them though. Loved the trade-off of lines in the pre-chorus bits. The outro sounds huge....very well written song! It's good stuff, i really enjoy it. Well done! Guest Bob
It was recorded at Exile. In fact, I think it's the last record to ever come out of that studio...Anyway, thanks for all the kind words, it's not often someone says something positive about your music on here. Neil
Not my kind of thing from a musical style point of view but the quality of the recording cannot be faulted. Sounds very professional - great effort. Do you guys want me to swap out the song you have on the radio play list for one of these new tracks? If so, which track do you want put up? Guest Bob
Yeah, it might be an idea if we swapped in 'I Found You' instead. Excuse my ignorance, but do I just mail you the mp3?

Alkaline
Nice recording. All the bits and bobs stand out in their own right. 'I Found You' sounds a bit slow tho and Bob's vocal sounds as tho someone told him a relative had died just before he sang it, but on the whole i like both tracks that i've heard
Hog
Bob cradles a ladybird in his hand as the other 2 guys think of ideas for new Stayover material
Spoonie
listened to it a few times at work and i was really impressed. the live set i saw was a bit scrappy but the recordings are fantastic and i think the ep is set to be a stunner.look forward to getting hold of a copy /x
Sam 45
I saw you guys once and to be honest i didn't really like you guys (in the most non-harmful way possible). But i just listened to 'I Found You' and it seems like your songwriting has matured a fair bit. Well done guys.
scottST
shame to hear that about exile, guess the running costs took their toll? or can mark just not be bothered going all the way to the harbour ?it was a great wee studio, had a lot of character for essentially being a shed. RIP exile.
