Dan G
anyone got any interesting chords they would like to share:my current favourite one is:e---10--- (optional)B---10---G----7---D----8---A----5---E---------Although I play it using C G C F A D tuning. It is the first chord in 'A Sense Of Wonder' (MMW) and I'm not sure what it is really called... however by looking at it I would say it is an interesting way of playing D6 - - - or A#maj7/D.It's a pretty long stretch, but sounds dischordant in a cool, non-abrasive way. Hog
E--------G----------B-----------D--7---------A--3--------D--3----I love this nice stretchy chord. You then keep everything where it is and move the first finger down a note then your pinky down a note, it sounds a bitty like a classical thingy, wow Im so technical. Tav
--0-----0-----x-----2-----2-----0---Emaj with a muted G string. I really like the sound of it...I guess it's an E5 with an extra B and E...sounds groovy none the less.
Mac Atom
--x-----5-----4-----2-----2-----0---Slight modification to the above in the style of Randy Rhoads, same chord but without the worry of open strings. Technically it's still just a plain old E5 though... classic

Knight of Swords
I really like using these chords together (you can move you pinky around to get good variations as well). These are the ones I piss around with the most when I'm playing the acoustic...e---5---3---3---4---2---0---0---0---0---b---3---5---3---5---3---3---2---0---0---g---3---3---3---6---4---5---4---2---5---d---3---3---3---6---4---5---4---2---5---a---5---5---5---0---0---0---0---0---3---e---x---x---x----x---x---x---x---x---x----I always also liked using normal shaped bar chords but leaving the e & b strings open (anyone who's into Rush will recognise these chords). For some reason, I've also found changing from a major to a minor of the same note (eg Dmaj to Dmin) or doing the same except changing from the major to the minor7, works really well (Jethro Tull do the minor7 change all the time in their acoustic songs). Dan G
If you are playing in drop D and in the key of D minor:e---8---B---6---G---9---D--(7)-- (optional)A-------D-------and the same shapee---13---B---11---G---14---D--(12)-- (optional)A---------D---------Sound dischordant again due to the half tone intervals between some of the notes, but nicely so if used correctly with other chords
