Camie
Why have Jesse James represent male ska bands?
Jimmygoodein
The girls sound good to me, i have yet to see an all girl ska band though, so i cant really judge.

less_than_stu
Um...Male:Less Than JakeCapdownReel Big FishLink 80All fantastic, in my opinion.I don't reall know any fmeales in ska, except Gwen Stefani, and I am afraid I can't listen to No Doubt's music because they have totally lost their roots.Anyone know any good female ska bands? Porter
I'm pretty sure there are more girls in ska than you would think, their just all hidden!Oh, and Norman's Fetish are not ska!xxx
Aaron Gilman
Originally posted by Porter:Oh, and Norman's Fetish are not ska! serious? thats what ive been lead to believe.anyway this thread blows, just shows SOME people are more into SEEING bands rather than hearing what they have to say
Ross
No Comply are female fronted and are actually really good live. They suck on record however. Save Ferris were one of the best female fronted "Ska" bands....Although then you get into The Selector and the more "Trad Ska" scene of the early 80s. Then there is the Original Ska from rocksteady etc from Jamaica in the 1960s.... I`m almost certain but "Ska" came from an almalgamation of Rocksteady and Reggae with a more dancehall feel. It`s all Jazz originally.... Proper Bo!
child of the north
Well obviously Norman's Fetish are TOP BANANA with the amount of sleaze u guys have, don't think it makes a difference whether male or female though. And as I pointed out earlier Porter, there is a touch of testosterone lurking somewhere inside of you...;-) But seriously you guys are lacking in oversised recorders. Goodnight. Porter
The girl brings up a valid point, for an all girl band we are very very manly!!xxx

Ross
Ska - Core was pretty much started by The Mighty Mighty BossToneS.Check out the early albums from Devil`s Night Out onwards. In parts like AC/DC with a brass section....Also one of the best live acts i`ve ever seen..... and i`ve seen well over a thousand
