french_disko
Hello again! And happy 2006! Yay!We're delighted to announce that one of Scotland's most celebrated and influential bands, Mogwai, are set to play a very special show at this year's Triptych, which runs from April 26 - 30, in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.Following their sell-out, five-night stint at London's ICA- and to salute the release of their staggering new album, Mr Beast - sonic behemoths Mogwai will perform a one-off Scottish show at Edinburgh Queen's Hall on Thursday April 27. Further details of the band's unique Triptych appearance will be announced, along with this year's full festival programme, on March 1st.Last year proved Triptych's most successful yet: we celebrated myriad memorable, one-off and sell-out performances from artists such as Karlheinz Stockhausen, Herbie Hancock, LCD Soundsystem, Candi Staton and The Fall amongst over a hundred others. While previous years have featured the likes of Philip Glass, Grace Jones, Chuck D and Franz Ferdinand, Mogwai's inclusion on this year's bill alludes to a rousing, and unpredictable, festival programme for Triptych 06.We look forward to seeing you in April and, in the meantime, tickets are on sale now for Mogwai! Go buy!Oh - and if you haven't heard Mogwai's ace new single yet, you can hear it at www.myspace.com/therealmogwai - Hurrah!AND FINALLY: we've a new domain name: please update your favourites. NARC
There was a thread about it, Clive, in the ancient past...It basically boils down to the fact that Mogwai are brainlessly childish twats. Though I do like some of their music.
