I can play MP3s etc through Windows Media yet I can't listen to Myspace choons, Flash animation with sound and I can't even here the wee windows startup song. Any ideas? MattJimF Posted April 5, 2006 Report Share Posted April 5, 2006 nowt to do with the sound card if you can play MP3's, more likely settings or a program interfering.Start > control panel > sounds and audio devices > Audio, check to make sure that the default device is your sound card. Also check the volume tab, click advanced and check that MIDI and Wave are not muted, if you don't see them, click options > properties and enable them.
