Hog
I read that one of the ways to speed up soloing can be using light strings but for E tuning....obviously not drop B lol. Em, how light can I get away with?

Monk Rocker
Originally posted by Hog:Thanks Craig : ) I also heard that you can get string grease!!?? Danny Doubt
Fastfret is gd i recommend it but get a beter cloth the one it comes with leave fluff on ur strings!
Tav
Clean your fretboard too as dirt on it will make your strings go off sooner. Also keep frets in good nick for fast playing. If you want to go the whole hog <snigger> strip the paint off the back of your neck and scallop your frets Vai/Malmsteem styleee.
Hog
I dont want to hurt my guitar (bc Rich) Tav, stripping paint sounds a bit drastic. As for my see thru green toothbrush guitar, well, I will happily smash it too bits for fun!
Tav
I wouldn't recomend stripping the paint either. Seen the Total Guitar shred special? I think it might be right up your street.
