Excellent choice......did you see him at the Lemon Tree last month? (or the Music Hall/Drakes last year?). Also he's got a few Aberdeen connections. Chris
yes I did, I bought the CD from him at the lemon tree. I went along not having a clue what to expect after being given a very vague description of his music from my brother who asked me if I wanted to go. turned out his music was rather fantastic. Listening to 'The Crack' right now as it is.....The Ruts are a seriously underrated band...this shit pisses all over "nevermind the bollocks" for *better tunes *more clued up punks *general coolness, didn't get cooler than Malcolm Owen....just a shame the words he sang were in vain...I have a certain Mr Japo to thank for introducing me to this band some 10 years ago
Alan Cynic
They did an album with Kevin Coyne, who is a hero of mine.
Zippy
Idlewild - 100 broken windowsI've owned that album for 4 years and I'm still listening to it! Melancholy never sounded so good! Alot of people said they were ripping off REM but I think thats a tad unfair!
