DST started as an electronic side*project for Paul and Graeme whilst playing in another band. Whilst the other boys were out at*Optimo, the MPC-60 and a drum*machine were wheeled out and the anthem of the Glasgow underground techno and electro scene How Can I Get Thru To*You? (released on Five20East) was created, bringing electro and jazz funk together; and garnering support from the likes of Ewan Pearson, Mark Farina, Silicone Soul and Dan Ghenancia. Recognition came in the form of support gigs for Faithless, Trevor Jackson, James*Lavelle and Jo Jo De Freq to name a few.*Their brand of electronic-sleaze-funk*is cooked up on a pair of laptops and a few other electronic*noise-making boxes, sucking in influences from early*house and techno and rolling it about with funk and rock*samples, spewing out dynamic dancefloor digglers.* 2007 saw DST releasing the first 2 parts of a*7'' series called Street Sevens, with the 3rd part set for release at some point this year. Theyve also got super hot remixes, edits and live jams that theyre working on and a growing list of live dates. Its heads-down-hands up*time!Get your free tickets by clicking hereRECORD PLAYERZ / DEPORTIVO STREET TEAM
