RossP
Hope Murray gives him a right doing. Unlikely though, as Delboy has won the last 20 games in a row, including recent finals. Still... if Andy plays like he did in his last match, he could take him.Kicks off soon
Christy
Easy the big man! Bring on Nadal...Love from Christy
Chris
Good shit. Anyone know if this was actually on Eurosport? Couldn't find it on the schedule last night yet the Guardian text commentary seems to indicate they were watching it on Eurosport.
HeinzHines
It was on sky sports extra (sky 404).Wasn't a great match until Del Potro grabbed the 3rd set, got interesting then. Murray had to play a tactical game and it worked out for him in the end. Hope he can do the damage against Nadal, but i fear for the worst. Jesus.H.Christ
Amazing that he's up to 4th in the world now.And that's as high as he's going to get for a good while. Can't see him bettering Federer, Nadal or Djokovic.
Spoonie
he's made big leaps this year already. not getting above 4th just yet wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. got my fingers crossed for him in his semi tho. gutted for jamie as well. they threw those 2 set points away in the first and it cost them dear. Paranoid Android
Andy's playing a blinder, 2 sets up against Nadal. Hopefully he can keep it up and finish off the match.Although he's just been broken in the first game of the third:down:
Paranoid Android
It's been rained off with Nadal up 3-2 in the third.

Can't see him bettering Federer, Nadal or Djokovic. And he's just beat Nadal to make the final, so you can shove your negativity right up your arse.Sideways. Jeanette
I'm chuffed that he's done so well. Especially since Nadal is amazing. But there's just something about Andy Murray that I don't like. Maybe it's the hype, maybe it's his attitude, that I think makes him seem arrogant. I don't know. Bigsby
I like him, seems like an ordinary bloke.
Jeanette
He's doing great things for tennis, and for Scotland. So I have to give him credit for that.Apparently he got a 'Good luck' message from Downing Street.Murray On Verge Of Making It To The Very Top (from The Herald )He gets extra points for liking Will Ferrell. Paranoid Android
I was out ylast night and got home when he was 3-1 down in the fourth, it seemed inevitable then that Nadal was going to go on and win, but Murray performed brilliantly just as he had done in the first two sets the night before. He really stepped up a level in this match. He's never played to such a consistently high level over a whole match and he was pushed all the way by Nadal who was also playing some great tennis.I can't wait for the final, Murray has a great chance although I wonder if Federer getting a day's rest will make a difference. As much as I want Murray to win I wont be too disappointed if Federer wins, I'd be happy for him to come back so well from losing the no 1 spot, wimbledon and the olympics. I really hope he wins a few more Grand Slam events to beat Sampras; record which he really deserves. Even if Murray loses tonight I now have now doubt he will win Grand Slams in his career, I think after this tournament people will talk of a top 4 instead of the top 3 in Men's Tennis. Paranoid Android
Fed wins in 3.Sad for Murray, but it's been a great tournament for him and he's stepped up a level. He's got many good years ahead of him and he will win Grand Slams.I'm happy for Federer that he has come back after a difficult summer to win another Grand Slam. Hopefully he should go on and take Sampras' record of 14 wins now.
Chris
Watched the first 2 sets, Federer was playing as well as he's ever done. No-one would have beaten him last night.
Jesus.H.Christ
And he's just beat Nadal to make the final, so you can shove your negativity right up your arse.Sideways. No not negativity, I'm just saying that in a whole year/season i can't see him winning more tournaments than either of the top 3.Although i do hope I'm wrong... Bigsby
Neither can I, but then a year ago I couldn't see Nadal overtaking Federer, or Murray beating Nadal in the semi final of the US OPen, so you never know what's going to happen.
