Old Gold
It's getting near summertime, so I've decked my ipod out with reggae sounds in preparation: King Tubby, Burning Spear, Toots and the Maytals etc. Smooth.
Hog
Mansun- Six.I always suprised myself that I liked this band considering my favourites genres are Metal, Dark Ambient and Classical..
Monster Zero
The Doors. Just been listening to the albums back to back, heaps of ace tunes.I think the film did more harm than the actual music if you ignore the wanky poetry moments... TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
After the disappointment of Angles (two good songs? Thanks guys), I decided to revisit Room on Fire by The Strokes and I was surprised by how much I liked it. When it first came out, I wasn't overly taken with it, but now I can hear hooks and catchy melodies all over the place. It's a really warm, close sounding record too, which really suits the songs. Paranoid Android
Agree with that. It was a great follow up to Is This It? The last two albums have been mostly mediocre at best, horrible at worst with a couple of songs that remind you of how good they can be. Monster Zero
I've failed to find even one memorable song on the new album thus far.

Woodsinho
Art Brut. Thought bang bang rock n roll was great when it came out and promptly ignored them for years after that.Modern Art Makes Me Want To Rock Out.
Paranoid Android
Bang Bang Rock n Roll is a cracking album.I've never listened to any of their others though.I've seen her naked TWICE!
Woodsinho
I picked up Art Brut v Satan on a whim the other day. If you like the first one there little reason to not like this one too. It's worth a shot: Art Brut vs Satan - Art Brut - Spotify

Guest Gladstone
I punted on Doves debut album the other day. Hadn't listened to it for years and had forgotten how much I like it! Catch the Sun, in particular is a magic tune. Absolutely love it. Got my ex to thank for introducing me to Doves when they first appeared on the scene. She did also introduce me to Toploader though...

Don't think I ever heard of them before or since. That's them yes. Probably one my least favourite tracks though. You wouldn't have heard of them before since it was their debut album They had a few albums out after that, never with as much success though. Some catchy little ditties mind you!EDIT: And another band, Fun Lovin Criminals, their first CD is incredible. Looking forward to seeing them at TITP this weekend. It was on the radio constantly for a while. I've a feeling my mate bought the album - he used to buy the album of any band if we liked the single, but I don't ever remember him playing the album to me. Perhaps a shame if the album's good!? Lump and Dune Buggy were the other 'hits' on the record.Possibly the best live band ever.Saw them a couple of times, very entertaining and good banter. Played the Lemon Tree a few years back too, which was superb.

Monk Rocker
I've started listening to Suede again recently. They had some really great tracks in the early years. In my view, the majority of their best stuff is B-Sides, with the exception of Stay Together which is up there with my favorite tracks of all time.
