TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
The squad number nazi in me is not happy about Capdevila, a left back, playing in the number 11 shirt. No, I don't like that at all.Acceptable numbers for a left back out of the first 11: 3, 4, 5 and 6. Bloody Spaniards! This second half could be lively... Soda Jerk
A left back should only wear 3, unless he's not first choice. No exceptions. Strict, uncompromising protocol. If i was a pundit, I'd be bringing this up, live on the telly, and I'd be fucking pissed off too.Chiles: "What did you make of the sending off, Joe?"Me: "Get fucked, Brum twat. What about Capdevila going against the ethics of football? He should be shot.
Captain America
I love Harry Redknapps punditry. You fuckin' tell them Harry.
Soda Jerk
Some strange refereeing in this World Cup lately. Glen Johnson gets elbowed in the face and Glen Johnson gets yellow carded. Fernando Torres fouls Fernando Torres and Marco Estrada gets sent off.Torres really takes a good kick at Torres. Takes him right out of the game. Estrada knew nothing about it. I'm led to believe governing bodies can revoke yellow and red cards for mistaken identity only. Now's the time, certainly. Teach that thug Torres a lesson. Paranoid Android
It was accidental and Torres makes a meal out of it, but there was contact.Estrada had been let off a couple of times anyway.I'm going for Uruguay and USA today. Ghana could cause problems but they're shite up front (probably because their striker wears no. 3) so I can't see them scoring more than one.btw, I'm top of the fantasy football league after the group stages, get in! Shaki
Asamoah Gyan wearing number 3 as a striker for Ghana has been irritating me. Go sort 'em out.Glad I'm not alone. Been swearing at him a lot. He should be made to play Left Back for that shit.
Paranoid Android
Great game won by a great goal from Suarez. South Korea are one of a few teams really lacking a couple of quality forwards to finish the opportunities they create. Suarez and Forlan will take Uruguay at least to the semis. Soda Jerk
I'd like to see Uruguay win it. A non favourite (Spain, Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Holland) or England winning it would be superb. Mostly England actually. Fuck Uruguay.
ca_gere
Gutted! LD10 was lively and altidore had a glimpse but noone else looked capable. They almost looked out of their depth which I didn't expect. Hats off to ghana. That gyan guy is terrible at football but is hungry and that's what made the difference. When Howard went up at the end I had a flash forward to a Disney movie in the future but it wasn't to be.
Soda Jerk
Two games into the second round and no penalties? What a crock! No penalties tomorrow though, yeah? Okay, good.
delboy
It's bound to go to penalties but thats cool cos the England lads have been practising them apparently!
Soda Jerk
And Podolski missed his last one, which means he's rubbish at penalties.
Soda Jerk
I just had a quick glance at that film about Zidane, skipped a few parts, tried to seek out the good bits. Looked shite. Should have made it about Titus Bramble.

Paranoid Android
2 good games today. Promising start to the knock out games.Happy with the results today too, I think Uruguay will win the next round though. If only Ghana had Essien and they had decent forwards who worked together.Germany to win quite comfortably tomorrow.
MerryChristmas
If england lose this match by one goal im boycotting every football event, that was a perfect goal
Jeanette
This is very enjoyable. I really hope Germany score a couple more to justify a win and to show that Lampard's 'goal' would've made no difference. That was a ridiculous decision from the linesman! Hugh_Jazz
The very fact that it is possible to make such a poor call in the World Cup is a total embarrassment to the sport. That said, it's still fucking hilarious.

Jeanette
I really hope Germany score a couple more to justify a win...I don't really like quoting myself... but since they've got their couple more I'm feeling a bit greedy now and would like another! delboy
at the end of the day England thoroughly deserve to be getting humped although you could argue that had the 'goal' been rightly given, they were just showing some signs of getting back into the game... anyhow we'll never know now!but if goal line technology isnt brought in now, it never will be. be good to see how that senile cretin Blatter defends that one. Monster Zero
I liked the BBC coverage when they picked out Mick Jagger and the commentator said "Mick isn't getting much satisfaction".
Woodsinho
I'm sad now. At least we won at the cricket today, that was closer than it should have been though.
