Soda Jerk
Spurs got conned, and Arsenal should be fined for it. It's just a disgrace. Everyone knows Wenger will field kids in the Carbonated Cup. Harry latched onto this and didn't bring many stars. Then the team sheet is handed about and he's got Rosicky, Nasri, Wilshere and Gibbs in there. The latter two are young 'uns, but they're still right bloody good. Arshavin and Chamakh coming on pretty much brough them up to full strength, and they ran riot, from the bits I saw anyway, which wasn't much.Unacceptable. The FA should clamp down on this deceit. Wenger should be banned from the Hangover Cup for life. Though you know that if Arsenal lost, it would have been because of inexperience, according to Wenger. Guest idol_wild
Stan Collymore talking sense, making many valid points. Who would have believed it??Exclusive Collymore: TV pundits are not good enough | talkSPORTI posted recently about how much I enjoy Stan Colllymore's thoughts and views on football. He's one of the few reasons I maintain an interest in talkSPORT. If it weren't for Collymore and the Hawksbee & Jacobs show, then I'd be a BBC Five Live man all the way, although Alan Green always makes me teeter on the edge of switching to talkSPORT for commentary. But yeah, Collymore is very insightful and articulate, in addition to being right in most occassions. He's got a littered personal past, but he knows his buttons about football.

ca_gere
Man Utd started the match completely underestimating Scunthorpe. Almost disrespectful the way they weren't chasing the ball down quicker than a training match. 2 lovely goals so far. I fancy an upset. delboy
Blimey Newcastle 3-1 up at the bridge, it is against Chelsea reserves (mainly) but a good showing nonetheless.Owen scores against Scunthorpe, he's found his place in the world of football! Soda Jerk
The Man Utd game shouldn't have been on telly. Goals galore, but a dull game. It should have been the Chelsea game. Sounded awesome.Liverpool losing on penalties is just magnificent!
Mr Owl PhD
Bit of an odd feeling this evening. I'm a Liverpool supporter but my other team is the Cobblers, who didn't live up to their name tonight.
delboy
I love a good cup upset (unless its my own team which has happened in the past!) but especially with the bigger clubs. Liverpool are up shits creek and they might still have the paddle but they'll be losing it very soon at this rate!I really think some managers should take the carling cup more seriously - its a route into europe and still despite its deflated status a major trophy.
