The Milner
It's on a glass TV unit, but it's well ventilated, as the glass shelves are just supported by little beams in the corners. It's all very open, and not enclosed like those wooden units. The console itself is over 5 years old, so it's probably due to be given the boot, as we get the red flashes at least once every week or two. It usually goes away by switching it off and on at least.Im serious when i suggest the towels, i got the RROD and did the towel thing, got an extra 2 months of life out the xbox. Gypsum_Fantastic
I have a newer XBox, it has been fine until my girlfriend dropped a bobble head figurine on it whilst the disk drive was open... Skyrim has only crashed once for me. Fallout 3 was fine. Fallout New Vegas was infuriating.
Stroopy121
Could be a fan issue Soda. Have a look in there and see if it appears dusty/clogged. Put your hand behind the fan when you can haer it running and see if it feels limp and useless. If it does, get a can of compressed air - the stuff for cleaning laptops, looks like a wee tin of WD40 - and give the fan a blast. Might help! What RROD lights you getting?xx

Skyrim has only crashed once for me. Fallout 3 was fine. Fallout New Vegas was infuriating.Fallout 3 only crashed in one place, every time I tried that mission or walked through the location it froze. Skyrim has crashed 3 times on me. Twice while trying to give arrows to a follower and once last night while on the loading screen between locations.
Flights
I wasted some amount of my life playing Fallout 3.
Teabags
Fallout 3 rarely crashed on me. New Vegas crashed so much that, along with the constant loading screens, I gave up on it. Skyrim has crashed on me twice, playing it on a new xbox.
The Milner
COD crashes on me from time to time but i think thats more to do with the shitty multi-player platform than anything else.
The Milner
Why is it ok to cry at a wedding but its frowned upon to laugh at a funeral?
Scootray
Because crying can is widely accepted as showing a sign of happiness or a sign of sadness. If your laughing at a funeral, you're probably a cunt. You can however, laugh at the wake. Thems the rules. I don't make them.
Soda Jerk
How come I've got a whole bunch of folk on facebook moaning about the Olympics? Why is everyone so anti-Olympics? What's wrong with sports now? All sorts of sports, in one small amount of time. That sounds GREAT, surely?Maybe all my friends are just miserable, cynical dickheads.I don't even care for all that running and jumping stuff, but I can see that as a whole the Olympics are a pretty great thing. If I lived closed to the events, I'd probably go watch a few if I could.
Gypsum_Fantastic
I couldn't care less. Just doesn't interest me and cloggs up my TV including my morning news. Also "I hate Sebastian Coe!"

Chris
I love the olympics but hate the build up, "the legacy" and the ridiculous commercialisation. The actual sport is ace though. I want the weather to be shit for the next few weeks so I've got an excuse to stay in and watch it.
Stroopy121
Most of the complaining I've seen has been about commercialisation. The Olympic Games: Brought to you by McDonalds and Coca Cola. That kind of thing. Can't say I give much of a fuck, personally.xx

Football tournaments, F1 racing, tennis - they all have a lot of sponsorship. It needs to be commercial so the sports, athletes and the country can make a bit of cash out of it. McDonald's are the only food seller allowed to sell chips (this has been softened so you can now buy chips with fish as well).Obviously an event like this takes a hell of a lot of money to run. A sum that's always increasing as every country seems to feel the need to outdo the last host and make it bigger and better. But there must be a balance between protecting the interests of the sponsors and the money they've contributed and being sensible to allow the fans to relax and enjoy the event as much as possible. Most of the stories coming out in the run up to London have seemed like it's leaning too much towards protecting the sponsors and not enough towards being sensible and letting the fans enjoy the event. The stuff I've been reading has all been "people's games" related. Folks who are a bit pissed off that the tickets are elusive and expensive when the corporate sponsors and politicians etc all have front-row seats. Petty shit, really. Have a look at "The Real Art of Protest" on facebook. They post a LOT of ridiculous shite about non-causes but can occasionaly be pretty informative. They are where I've encountered my only real anti-Olympic ramblings.xx
Adam Easy Wishes
Ah, fair enough. That does sound a bit over-the-top. I did also read something about someone turning up to an event (to spectate) wearing a Pepsi t-shirt may be asked to change or turn it inside out, which is crazy. That said, there were leanings toward that at the Euros - only allowed to pay with VISA inside the fan parks and similar. Stroopy121
I don't understand how sponsors think that'll help them! All I think now is that visa, coke and McD's are cunty bastards. More so than I thought before.xx
Adam Easy Wishes
It's less about using their product and more about not having other products' presence there (and in turn their logos everywhere). Guarantee that in the run up to the Euros a bunch of people took out VISA cards just incase they couldn't get served with actual money. Even a 1% take up on all the people that went to the fan parks is good business for them!
