Gladstone
Last I heard of Morrison was he was at Pheonix FC with Daz Mackie. Not sure if he's still there. He had a cunt of a left foot on him.
Adam Easy Wishes
Byrne was a much better centre back than he was left back. Bossed the game* at the Vicente Calderon in that Euro run. *Subject to opinion.
Gladstone
Morrison is now at Arizona United SC in the third tier of US football. Nae a bad job if you can get it! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Morrison_(footballer) EDIT: Jeepers - actually reading that wiki page - it reads like it was written by Borat. Adam Easy Wishes
Definitely more attractive than slogging it out in the Highland League, I'd say. The big question is, though: does he get a job in the oil as part of his contract?

The big question is, though: does he get a job in the oil as part of his contract?Haha - probably not. But then, he probably doesn't need to (yet). I imagine they're paying decent enough wages out there. I think Phoenix only lasted a season because they were splashing the cash on guys like Darren Mackie (who I think scored one goal in his time there - an OWN goal, and was injured for most of the season...). Adam Easy Wishes
Also took the worst penalty I've probably ever seen.

Adam Easy Wishes
Yeah, Mackie. Truly awful pen. Anyway, this isn't MSN...we should probably stop.
Paranoid Android
David James has been declared bankrupt! Quite surprising, he comes across as a sensible guy, I thought he would have looked after his money a lot better.

Soda Jerk
Bit late, but the Europa League final was a total snooze. Sevilla cheated the penalties as well. The goalkeeper was bouncing a couple of yards off his line every time. Two goal line officials and the referee watching, and nobody spotted it. He was so far off, he might as well have just stood infront of the ball. Benfica have lost 8 European finals in a row. PAIN. When Guttman left in the 60's, he said that without him, Benfica won't be a European champion in a hundred years. He's half way to being right. Paranoid Android
Every comment I've read online has said the Europa final was dull but the match reports I read said it was about as exciting as a nil-nil can be. Who do I believe?

Soda Jerk
I only had it on in the background, to be fair. I wasn't giving it my full attention. Maybe I just kept missing the good bits. Penalties are always good though.
Paranoid Android
Soda would rather have Patrice Evra in his team than Richie Byrne. I'll never trust his opinion.
Soda Jerk
When Richie Byrne uses raw chicken fillets to aid his foot injury, maybe I will change my opinion. Looks likely King Pat will leave in July too, for Inter or Monaco. If true, I will shed buckets of big, manly tears. Captain America
Times saying Sagna is off to Citeh. To sit on the bench behind Zabaleta I can only imagine. Unless they plan to play him as a CB where he is pretty useful. 100k a week apparently.

Captain America
Wouldn't we all. I thought he'd go to France for his final contract he could start for PSG or Monoco and get that kind of money.

Paranoid Android
8 homegrown players out of the 21. I think if I remember correctly 4 of those have to have come through the Man City system and 4 can be brought through at other clubs.

How many years do they have to have been in the academy? Isn't it something like 5 years prior to their 18th birthday? I remember Adnan Januzaj not counting towards that category last season, as he was bought as a 16 year old.
