framheim
does it crackle when you switch or is it just silent? i guess it's either you're pickup or more likely just the switch and wiring is loose or broked. shouldn't be too hard to get fixed if it's that. Chris
as a first resort try spraying a little switch cleaner into the switch, see if that helps. You'd be amazed the wonders a little switch cleaner can do (it even fixed my front door lock). But it does sound like a loose connection on the switch I think. Doc Ascension
not fuck that...go get out your soldering iron, unscrew that backplate then reattach the offending wire which ahs obviously come loose from the switch at the back.Unless it is your pickup... but pickups just dont not work overnight! U would have to have done something to it to fuk the pickup so prepare to solder!!!
David
is it an epiphone by any chance? (crappy switch, plus refering to it as 'treble' and 'rhythm' = epiphone) open up the plate behind the switch, on the switch there is the 'rocker' part that moves when you flick the switch and two contacts it will touch when in th erelevant position, all you should need to do is bend back the treble contact a little, as with use it will have moved slightly and wont connect with the rock properly, bending it back where it should be should fix the problemepi switches are quite well known for going crappy, and that is only a temporary fix as the problem will reoccur after a while, so the best fix would be to replace the switch with something of a higher qualityi think prosound have switchcraft switches in (under the gibson name) which should do you fine, its an easy job to replaqce the switch if you can solderDavid
